I'm buying. If Stansbury is back, you won't see Moultrie here next year. If, however, we decide to replace him, I think it's about 75% that Moultrie returns.

His draft stock has dropped recently and based on his comments after the game, he seems to want to play one more season with Hood. However, I don't think there's any chance he'll sign on to play another year under Stansbury.

The obvious flaw to this logic is that we might not have enough talent at 1 & 5 next year to help him improve his position. It has to help that Sidney is gone, though.

game. His defense is poor and he needs to quit taking long stretch's off, of course that may have been necessary because of all the minutes he played. I think Sydney being<div>kicked to the curb will have more to do with his decision than Stansbury, just my opinion. Stansbury needs to come out this week and take responsibility for the train wreck</div><div>this year and make a commitment to the fans that he is going to reengageand go back to the basics. I am not saying I want him to stay but if he is going to stay then he needs to</div><div>make some good public relations decisions soon.</div>

unfolded combined with the lack of talent we have returning makes it easy for him to leave..........

Wait... so he came to play for Stans in the 1st place, improved himself in every statistical category and vastly improved his draft stock since he came from UTEP but Stans is holding him back and ruining him?

and this would again tie in to what Moultrie said about he and Hood, and why he's not wanting to play for this team at its current state.

Both of these players have a desire to play basketball, but a desire for a disciplined team headed by a head coach who enforces discipline and promotes team unity. I don't think I need to explain the current state of our basketball program and team. It is a 17ing embarrassing for itto even be associated with Mississippi State University. The way our BBall program has conducted itself the past few seasons, on the court and off the court (in the stands), is inexcusable and blame only falls on one person.

Has there been anything positive from our BBall program over the past half decade? I can't recall anything and its been a downward spiral since the 03-04 bed shitting.

there have also been some players somewhere stick up for him. If ALL the players wanted him out then I don't think we would be hanging onto him. I heard some guy on BSR yesterday stating there were at least rumors out there that we won't get Pollard without Stans AND that Hood might transfer if we let Stans go (opposite I guess of what another poster is hearing). Those 2 things would definitely carry some weight if true. Didn't hear anything on Moultrie but it may be that even he would be more willing to stay WITH Stans that without him especially if Hood feels the way its been rumored. I really don't know though but I can't believe we would be retaining Stans if Hood was implying he would transfer if Stans stays OR if retaining him would somehow lessen our chance with Pollard. I do know that I will personally be miffed if we keep Stans and STILL don't get Pollard.
