The record is 535, held by Wojciech Mydra of Louisiana-Lafayette.

I'm buying in bulk if Varnado returns. He's at 389 right now, meaning he needs 146 to go.
That's less than his total for this year or last year, so unless he gets hurt next year, he should pass Mydra in the homestretch of the SEC season.

Mydra was a Warhawk at UL-Monroe.

And I'm buying since he has three more games this year, plus ~35 next year.

You're right, Mydra played at ULM, but he was an Indian (they hadn't changed their name yet)

But it will be close. He might break it in Nashville at the SEC Tournament or in the NCAA Tournament next year.

When your last few games hinge on you winning, it could be close. He needs to stay healthy and we might need to buy him some extra games - through an in-season tournament, SEC Tournament, or NCAA Tourney.

But if he DOES break it, what do we do? Do we hang a 32 jersey? I'd say no, but somehow we'd have to acknowledge that an MSU player was the NCAA all-time leader in blocked shots...
