We will more than likely cross the 50 coming on the field to start and coming back from the half. Sorry that's the only way I saw it possible.

I say we'll get one good kickoff return that will get us close to the 50... our offense will show some sign of life and get us down to around the 30...aaaaalmost close enough to attempt a field goal... then we will promptly be sacked/fumble/snap over the head of qb/throw int/have consecutive stupid penalties that push us back over the 50. Then I think we pick up a defensive TD somehow, or a close offensive score due to a turnover and summarily miss the xp.

Or we get 5 yards of offense and never sniff the 50.

Once. Fourth Quarter. The free kick after the safety went out of bounds, and MSU got the ball at the 50. On first down, Ducre lost a yard, putting the ball at the MSU 49. On second down, Carroll tried to throw an interception to the rushing defenive end, but he threw it too hard and it hit the ground. On third down, Carroll actually completed a pass for positive yards, setting up a 4th and 1 at the 41. So, they crossed the 50, but only by going backwards to set themselves up.

So, that's my prediction for LSU: MSU will cross the 50 in the wrong direction, and then, maybe, cross it again for positive yards.

the only way we cross the 50 is if we gain possesion on their side of the field and then they tackle us for a loss back on our side of the field.

So you're buying that we won't get to the 50 - but stating that the offense will be "ok"?
