has taken a step back and the rest of the Tour has taken a step forward to make every Major up for grabs again?

Edit for reading comprehension fail.

Golf is more exciting when Tiger is kicking ***. I don't think the field has stepped up as much Tiger has stepped back. He'll get it back together (emotionally) in time and he'll pass Jack in the Majors count before you know it. I felt like I was watching minor league golf yesterday - McDowell didn't win - he just didn't lose.

triple bogey? How many 3 putts did he have yesterday anyway? Shooting an 82 on the last day of a major when you have a lead...sad.

At least when the commentators were sucking him off two years ago, he was good enough to deserve it almost every time. Now, they just suck him off no matter what he is doing. It is super annoying. A guy can be leading by 6 strokes, tiger can be falling apart, and we see every single one of his shots. Plus the commentators are acting like he is going to win the thing even though he just bogeyed the last 2 holes, has hit a shank off the tee, and is in all sorts of trouble with his current lie. I turn up Pandora on the computer and hit mute on the TV. Drives my wife nuts but hell she hates watching golf in the first place.

They are just helping him fulfill the needs of his addiction.

But I should add the caveat that I'm a borderline obsessive golf fan, so I like watching everybody play. I get frustrated when all they show is Tiger and the guy in second place at the moment.

I'm enjoying watching him spend his exile in Bolivia. The snap hooks. The tentative putts. Knowing he wants to let the F bombs fly and getting even more frustrated that he can't. Loved the comment from the fan yesterday, "Are you my Daddy?" Sweet.

I also loved watching the amateur from UGA hold his own [the few putts they showed]. Helluva effort from the 2 ams.

I hate Tiger Woods. However, it has absolutely nothing to do with him. I hate the constant dick sucking that goes on with him. I actually enjoy watching him play, but since that always comes with constant dick sucking, then I'd probably just prefer he not play.

Also, The US Open is one of the few tournaments I love to watch. Watching guys shoot 30 under par all the time is not fun. I want to see guys struggle, not just coast all weekend.

it is still fun to watch him occasionally pull of a "wow" shot or putt. Saturday, he was almost old Tiger. Sunday, he was back with the rest of the pack. I think the long term effect will be good for the tour because when he does get better ( I don't know if he will ever get back to the old Tiger completely) there will be less awe from his fellow competitors and we will see some good tourneys down the road.

of course I'm a die-hard so that has a little to do with it. ;) But I do enjoy seeing Tiger struggle. Can't stand the SOB.
