He is so good stans couldn't have f'd him up. However, Stans probably would have held him back some.

His talent equaled his hype. Most problems occur when hype is greater than talent or ego is greater than talent.

I think he has dropped 40+ in his last 3 games.

Monta was a good kid. Yes sir/no sir type.

He never got caught up in his own hype as most with his talent do.

Stans or no Stans Monta owns the SEC by the end of his freshman season. To what level he owns it is the question.

But I would say sell. Ellis played at a different level than any recruit Stansbury ever signed.

Another question: How different would things have been if Stansbury could have held on to every recruit he signed? I'm not talking about those that left the program. I'm talking about those that never showed up. You would think that even those that didn't make much of a splash in the NBA would have excelled at the collegiate level. How long is that list, by the way?

Bender, Outlaw, Monta....anybody else I'm forgetting?

Jefferson was headed to Arkansas.

Edited ---I don't recall the Butler situation. Did he even have grades?

Add them to those that are labeled as head cases in another thread and that comes to a lot of talent that never contributed up to their potential. By a lot of talent, I mean A LOT of talent. It would be interesting to see a combined list. I know the head case list is longer than the blue chip list, but I only remember a few of them. I remember Sharpe, the Delk twins and the guy who went to Marquette.

But I wouldn't really fault Stans for the ones that skipped college. I would fault him for some of the ones that came and went.

Monta had a great work ethic. I read a story on him and about how much he practiced even though he was not as well as off as most people.

What could have been in 2005 if we have Monta and Winsome Frazier doesn't break his foot?

1. Bowers
2. Monta
3. Frazier/Powers with one being a sixth man
4. Vincent- I think he was still around
5. Roberts

We picked up Jamont when it became clear Monta was going to the draft. They could have theoretically been in the same class.
