Been crazy with college hoops and meant to post an update on Thursday…Eddie posted earlier this week that he needed to take some time off. Then last night, he posted…
“4 weeks after losing my dad my mom (who's my everything and best friend) was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. She is terminal it is too far spread. There's no timeline but we plan on spending every single day the best we can together. Much love & GL2all”

Damn. I knew ed had some family issues but didn’t know it was that bad. That’s a tough double whammy to deal with.
I'll try to share one every few days over the next couple of weeks...my goal will be to share 20 plays over the course of the season (and hopefully go at least 11-9 on them).

Handicapping early season college hoops would seem to be a Herculean effort in today's age where it seems almost every team turns over their entire roster each year.
I'm sure everyone is waiting with bated breath, so here it is.
B10 teams travelling 2+ time zones - NW, Oregon, and Washington all fail to cover (UW loses outright). Nebraska covers vs UCLA
Week 11: 1-3
2025: 10-14
since 2024: 17-30
ACC - Stanford and Cal both cover

Another question. What is your thought on betting exchanges like Prophet X? Obviously, the odds are fantastic and would make an enormous difference to long term success. Are they reliable? Concerns about payout?

Final update as there are no more long travel games in the B10.
Iowa covers at USC. Purdue, UCLA, and Minny fail to cover when traveling 2+ time zones. 1-3 this week.

I hope people have been betting these since I started tracking last year. I haven't bet them blindly, but it's been a big handicapping point for me.
@Erial_Lion has his ear muffs on, so he probably won't read this, but a cursory following seems to indicate, to me, that there are a ton of large point spreads that regularly aren't being covered so far this year in men's college hoops. Is this accurate?
In past years, it seemed there were lots of early opportunities for insufficiently large spreads that were easily covered ... this year appears to be the opposite.

PSA for the board bettors. Next week is rivalry week. Not a bad idea to look ahead and see which teams may have other things on their mind.
A great example is Texas, who not only plays TAM next week, but is off Georgia and playing a pesky Arkansas (PS. I would make 2-7 Ark a FG favorite over 7-3 Pitt on a neutral; they are better than their record).

I probably would pass at 146.5 (-110). If it's a juiced down 146.5, I'd play it, or shop around/hope for 146.
