Yep. This DEI hire is the worst.I have seen some bad years as a State fan but I fear as long as Selmon is running things we are heading into a really dark period for Miss State sports. I fear the darkest ever.
He can‘t be worse than the literal DUI hire that is now the SECDEF.Yep. This DEI hire is the worst.
2 bad AD hires in a row will get ya. Thanks KeenumI have seen some bad years as a State fan but I fear as long as Selmon is running things we are heading into a really dark period for Miss State sports. I fear the darkest ever.
Replace Selmon with Keenum, and yeah.I have seen some bad years as a State fan but I fear as long as Selmon is running things we are heading into a really dark period for Miss State sports. I fear the darkest ever.
I’m sad to say that I’ve lost all hope about all sports. The combination of Cohens reign as AD, Vic leaving, Leach’s death, Selmon doing absolutely nothing, and finally the NIL and transfer portal BS, has sucked all the enjoyment I got from Mississippi State sports.I really hate to say it, but I have to agree with you Glorydawg. When you lose hope, you loose everything.

It don't take much...I just wanted to get the thread locked. Thought I might get the Libs riled up.
This is me also. I find myself watch less and less and being consumed with other life activity. When is the last time a men's team has a fun good season that was enjoyable to watch? Add the portal nil bs college sports just isn't what it once was and state just being be that great in sec any more in anything or being in the top quarter in any sport when we at least had baseball where we were near the top regularly. Now we are in the bottom half of the sec in every men's sport if not the bottom quarter of the sec. Our competition got better and we didn't get better with it.I’m sad to say that I’ve lost all hope about all sports. Selmon spent $1.0 million to renovate his office. He blew through all of our cash reserves. He pissed away money on a 10I’m sad to say that I’ve lost all hope about all sports. None if this is factual.. some of you just don’t understand the train wreck cohen left and for some reason y’all take your frustration on a meaningless sport and try lay the blame at Selmon by making up lies and spreading false informationSelmon spent $1.0 million to renovate his office. Year master plan that was all smoke and mirrors. He has done nothing to educate our fan base on what to give to and what sport. And she has an interview for. TCU, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. This guy is in above his head and is trying to get out and by the time he gets out, we are going to be left in one big financial mess and a whole bunch of debt to repay.
We are mediocre to less than mediocre in every sport

If this is the darkest period ever for Mississippi State sports, then some of y’all just started following MSU about 10 years ago. It’s been waaaaaaaay worse than this.
Is this really true? If so he should be fired for this alone and the person who signed off on it.Million dollar office renovation?
I'd hate to be a student right now.I have seen some bad years as a State fan but I fear as long as Selmon is running things we are heading into a really dark period for Miss State sports. I fear the darkest ever.
No it’s not true. They did some Bryan Building renovations that was much needed with the added space for staff of Rev sharing. But some folks pass it off as he did it strictly for his office which is totally false. Is this really true? If so he should be fired for this alone and the person who signed off on it.
Old cranks, I’ll leave that alone.I keep seeing these kind of statements from the same ole cranks on this board.
Define mediocre????
Both basketball teams are going to the NCAA tournament.
Baseball was a near host ast year and a Top 25 team. On the edge of Top 25 this year.
Softball is killing it and is a perennial NCAA tournament team.
Both golf teams are very good. Probably tourney teams.
Soccer won the SEC.
Etc etc etc...
What's actually mediocre to well below mediocre is your ability to see what actually is. You are apparently ruled by emotion, not logic.

I define mediocrity as not competing for “actual” championships. As in making deep runs in the SEC tournaments and NCAA tournaments. Winning the league. Not being in the bottom half of our league. And football is complete dumpster fire. And I was referring mens/women’s basketball baseball and football dead last.
Its amusing to see how many like to say they’re the voice of reason/reality for predicting the outcomes of games but then at the same time have a false sense of reality to where State is in the grand scheme of college athletics and the SEC.That's fine that you have your own homegrown version of mediocrity.
Reality is we have rarely competed for championships in the SEC thru the decades and the league is currently the strongest league in the history of college athletics in basically every sport.
If you are competing for a championship in this league in any sport you are elite or damn near it. The level below that (middle of the league) is still really good and might even be elite (baseball, basketball).
So your definition of mediocrity is my definition of ridiculous.
If that’s your definition of mediocrity, then we’ve been mediocre for 125 years. We have NEVER consistently competed for championships. Even in baseball, the sport we hang our hat on, we have a grand total of one SEC regular season championship since 1989. We aren’t any worse than we have been over a century, and actually some sports are better than their historical average. Football sucks, and that is coloring some of y’all’s views on every other sport. We are about to make our third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, which is something we’ve only done one other time in the history of our basketball program. I know this is the board for negativity, but my God, some of y’all are way over the top with it.Old cranks, I’ll leave that alone.
