I moved from the "mother land" to Utah due to employment so I somewhat follow BYU, U. of Utah, and Utah State sports news. A Utah paper said with BYU having a new coaching staff there was an increased interest and attendance at this year's spring game with an attendance of 19,000.

Anyone know the latest ticket count for the Huskers' spring game?

Yes, Nebraska will more than double (maybe even triple) the spring game attendance at BYU, but really, they do that compared to nearly every other school in the nation. There is no doubt, the interest from fans in Nebraska is unmatched by anyone else in the country. Really.

Last year's spring game for Nebraska was over 76k. I think it's fair to anticipate roughly the same attendance for this year's game.

I would suggest that you mute any smack talk about spring game attendance directed at the BYU folks ... Can't imagine you are going to thrive going there

Ohio State had 99k last year. The previous record of 95k was also held by them in 2009.

99k is amazing...I think they do not charge admission but that is still amazing.

If the weather is going to be nice I could see 68+ this year for NU...

We live in northeastern Utah by the base of the Uinta Mountains which are the only Rocky Mountains that run east and west. We're at 6300 feet elevation and have cold winters.

St. George is noted for its mild winter weather but is hot in the summer. If you like to golf, you can play a lot of the entire year. Has had a lot of growth the past ten years so housing is a little costly. They have outdoor concerts and Broadway plays.

Thank you for the catch. I assumed there were a few programs that have had higher spring game attendances, but when you look at consistency of support, there really is no comparison. Even then, I should have simply stated "very few" can compare, especially when you think about a BYU. I actually can't fathom why 19,000 or 99,000 care to watch a practice. I don't care if it was free, I am fine reading about the performances online or seeing highlights on TV.

St George is a lot closer to Las Vegas than Salt Lake. BYU is located in Provo, close to Salt Lake. Brian Head isn't too far from St George if you like skiing or snow boarding. Vegas is about 2 hours from St George, so not a big trip if you want to take in a show or spend day.

Thanks to you and to utrex for your responses. As you might guess from my user name, won't be doing much snow boarding.
