good read as usual but I'm not completely sold on point # 1 .... if we do that, do we use Perkins, Robinson, or Milton ?

Rotate. Keep fresh legs. We aren't looking for guys to juke and jive to get as many yards as possible, just run downhill with square shoulders right at them as hard as possible. Keep the chains moving with 3-4 yard downhill runs.

I agree completely with what 34 says on this. We have to run first the entire game. Use play action, but be picky. Once we break from our running game is when they expect passes, and that's what will leave us in 3rd and long.

I wouldn't say UM had success running the ball, (Scott had 1.6 YPC up until Bama put the game away)... otherwise, I agree with your strategy A LOT... run the clock, keep bama from subbing and convert on 3rd downs...

I pretty much agree on all points. Common sense actually....

...especially about shortening the game and not getting greedy. Alabama's defense feeds off mistakes, they usually just sit back and wait on them. Tight ends obviously will have to be productive. And yes, Saban made a big mistake by basically telling the world he has trouble with the hurry-up offense. Defensively, since they don't utilize the quick strike stuff I think we can probably get away with loading the box.

One other thing.....we need to take their return game away. Kick it in the endzone and away from their returners. Don't need them breaking the game open.

The fact that we must run directly at Bama in nothing new. That has been true for many, many years....we (nor many others) have never been successful trying to run wide on them. But, I am not sold on our defensive line being able to slow the Bama running attack. That, I am afraid, will spell doom for us. Sure hope I am wrong !!!

Well, quite simply, that's why we have to score.....

...and they aren't going to quick strike us with their receivers. That's my assumption obviously, but we do have some pretty good CBs. We need to make sure we stop Lacy and Yeldon from breaking it. Force McCarron to beat us. But yes, they are going to get their 21 points regardless. Turnovers and other mental errors could make it a blowout for them.

Their receivers are very good. Cooper was a Top 15 WR recruit and it shows on the field. We wanted Norwood badly. Obviously I'll take my chances with Banks/Slay, but let's not think their WRs can't beat us.

Bray/Patterson/Hunter is better than McCarron/Norwood/Cooper.....

...and we contained them. If we get pressure on McCarron, he'll fold like he did in the LSU game @ Tuscaloosa last year. Long shot, but true. And yeah OK, I'll concede that their WRs will make a few plays. Bend, but don't break.

If you can't tell, I'm less than impressed with McCarron. He played well in the BCS Ch'ip game last year. But he had exactly zero pressure from and LSU D that looked as if they didn't want to be there. His job is made easy. He's not a game breaker.

WRs, advantage UT.. QB, I'll take McCarron over Bray..

Bray turns the ball over and McCarron doesn't...but then again, I'd take Russell over the both of them

MSU game has nothing to do with the LSU game.....

....except to prove that McCarron is indeed not the reason behind Bama's success and your endless hard-on for tattooed white boys.

Also proves that you have nothing to fight me with. You're beat so you try and to wheel around with some passive aggressive MSU smack. Weak.

Bottom line, dude folded up vs. LSU. See the OT, what a joke. But don't worry, you got your rocks off in the Championship game that you didn't earn.

Bray gets pressured, McCarron doesn't.....

Bray has the much stronger arm too. There's a reason why he was on the NFL Draft Board as a Jr.

Because everybody falls in love with the big arm...

Bray has the much stronger arm too. There's a reason why he was on the NFL Draft Board as a Jr.

Jeff George, Matthew Stafford (who is and always has been just a good player in my opinion), Ryan Leaf... NFL GMs and draft gurus are enamored with the 6'4-6'6 strong-armed QB.. sometimes it works out.... sometimes it doesn't... a guy who throws INTs will always throw INTs.. that's just my personal philosophy though.. I still say Russell is as good as Bray right now.. maybe better.. he has some things to work on obviously, but he has "it" (whatever that is)

Tyler Bray gets pressure? Since when? The one thing Tennessee has been known for since he got there was protecting the QB. Bray has -11 yards rushing this season. McCarron has -45. So you tell me which one has seen more pressure.

Good read for Mullen and Wilson, I have to say the speeding it up part bugs the

**** out of Saban and anything that irritates that little Napoleonic bastard should be done and done
often.

Pretty much said the same thing yesterday and got blasted for it. Guess i just don't quite have your notoriety just yet. LOL. Good points. BTW McCarron DOES in fact get pressured. Look at what Carskadon posted on twitter earlier this morning. They'very given up twice the sacks we have. And don't 17ing tell me they've played yet"better" competition than us. Overrated Mich w/out starting RB, Wilson-less Arky who was still stunned by losing to ULM, an 0-15 more improved bear team vs. conference foes or a UT team that was 0-for Vs ranked opponents? Besides they have 5 star OL men that we don't have. They have 1st-2nd rd draft picks on that OL. We don't. If we can stay patient w/ a short passing game and make small stabs at the 2nd level of their defense and run draws from the pistol or shotgun we can expose them. And the bears DID expose the same thing. Their inexperienced QB got too greedy and threw into coverage. Tyler won't (hopefully) do the same thing.

Tyler Bray has been sacked 3 times this year. AJ McCarron--14. Tyler Bray doesn't get pressured. Bray and his WR's are more of a threat when considered alone, but Alabama has all the parts that TN doesn't. Alabama has many other ways to attack.
