Agree and don’t think anyone suggested to sit Caleb unless I missed it.
You suggested he play and not shoot and not score. Take a lap. If you think Caleb should be taken off the floor or try to not score 12-16 points in any game to get us out of this mess , then you are just looking at analytics and not actually watching what has happened during the losing streak.

I think people are inferring it from:

It seems to imply that you think he is a net negative player (and presumably then you'd want to play someone else).
I could see someone making that inference if I had not said I think Pike can help by reallocating shots and drawing more up for a few of the other guys. I put what I was suggesting right in the post.

That’s an assumption someone makes if they want an argument and not a discussion lol

There are people complaining about Paul Cam Caleb and Cliff but the bench options are all worse with Simpson right now as the only one on the bench capable of playing significant minutes

The rest of the bench has been so bad that Pike has to try to steal a few minutes here and there and pray

Currently we have 6 playable options. 6! Players need to step up. Starters need to play better. Bench players need to find a way to contribute something

Meh, there’s no malice here.

I do agree that the optimal shot distribution has fewer shots for Caleb. The issue is the way to get there requires more shots from Paul (refuses to shoot) and Cam (struggles to get open for a high volume)

Paul think his teammates are better than they are. He needs to take his shots. There are no style points for wins at ths point in the season. We arent playing Bucknell

I don't want Caleb as one of our primary hooter. I have a hell of a lot more confidence in Cam. I'd generally go Cam and Aundre in opposite corners, Cliff and Paul running pick'n'roll. Caleb at wing as outlet for Paul and to crash boards

Team followed the recipe for success today by default. Get Caleb back so the bench can play a little less and we should get back on track if we stay with it.

I think the same qualities that make Caleb so great on the defensive end are a detriment to him on the offensive end. The guy just plays with reckless abandon. Defensively that leads to disrupting the other team. Offensively that leads to poor shots and turnovers.
