I am having some serious panic attack moments right now.... ESPN has apparently made some changes to how the ESPN3 (or watchESPN, or whatever it may be called now) connection works.

Previously I have been able to access from outside the U.S. by using a VPN server and would easily go to the website and watch any game as if I were in the living room of any U.S. residence. As of the last couple of days I have had issues doing this.

I just spent a couple of hours online and with tech support from the VPN server I subscribe to and they are telling me that they do not know of any way I can get around accessing the service with their services any more (proXPN) nor do they think it will be possible with any other VPN server.

Anyone have any suggestions of how I can gain access to ESPN3 from a foreign location?

Have you tried...

...espnplayer.com? It's only accessible from outside of the US and only in certain countries. I used it last year in Germany, and it's a pretty good service. Don't know if it's available in Costa Rica or not. It did cost 20 Euro/month, but you get any college football/basketball/baseball/volleyball (don't know why they have volleyball, but they did last year) games that are on the ESPN network (including ABC). The only SEC games it didn't have were the CBS games.

If you know someone with comcast or another approved provider, would using their login info make a difference?

justin tv will probably work, as long as someone is streaming our game. not the best quality/most reliable, but it's free.
