Maybe a dumb question, but if Cam slaps his wrist/forearm at waist level there raising his hands, would be be considered a "shooting foul"? Was he actually "shooting" then?

Risky risky play. He was shooting and was off the whole night. Can't risk fouling there imo. Luv Cam played great.

Just watched the replay of the second half. How enjoyable was that knowing the result.
A lot has been said about Simpson’s performance which is magnified due to being a freshman and coming off the bench. His drive to the basket from the top of the key and foul shot to give us the lead for good was epic.
But (needless to say) Spencer and McConnell’s play on both the the offensive and defensive ends were pivotal. Without either one of their performances, we don’t win this game. And Cliff’s all-around defense creating havoc on the perimeter and in the lane helped secure the win. His offensive rebound and putback near the end to give us a three point lead was huge. He also had zero turnovers and set up at least a couple of three pointers with passes out of the post.

I was just as impressed that the ref didn't blow the whistle there, given that it was at PSU. Almost as enjoyable was the reaction of the PSU players on the bench--they realized immediately what it meant that he stripped the ball and had that look of finality, of resignation, of possibly choking away a trip to the tourny. Remember how pissed we were/are that we lost at Miami when we were up IIRC 8 with a minute-and-a-half to go? For them this was worse. Me happy.

Spencer is a basketball player who makes big plays on offense and defense. His transfer to Rutgers has made a very positive impact.
Well said. This is so true whether he is shooting well or not. Has a nose for the ball coming up with steals and rebounds and playing solid D.

The fact that it was so clean speaks to cams hand speed and hand-eye coordination. A less gifted athlete in that regard would have raked the arm or made contact in some other way

A lot of the defensive credit has gone to Caleb in the 2nd half shutdown of Pickett, but Cam actually guarded him just as often as Caleb. Caleb and Cam were switching anytime any screen action took place for Pickett. They both were magnificent
