Don't think he isn't, just because he'll never leave the Stansbury bandwagon. He's certainly as connected with the big-time basketball boosters(and the former Stansbury regime, thus probably Stans' former players) as anyone on here...
He just said there is still a chance that Hood stays. It technically is, until he actually signs elsewhere. He didn't really imply that we should get our hopes up...

Unlike most, I wish the young man the best in whatever he desides. However, I have never understood that if his goal was to get to the NBA after 2-years - how sitting out his 2nd year would help this goal.

you committed to MSU and now you have your panties in a wad and bail out.. when the going gets tough, the tough get going... his loyalty to MSU was just a lie... he can get to the NBA through us just as fast as any other alternative...

I thought we might have had a shot but I think it is over now. My sources said he really likes MSU but can see the handwriting on the wall with the talent void and it has nothing to do with work ethic. Thad Matta works his players as hard as anybody but also surrounds them with other good players. There have been over 300 players transfer this year alone so he isn't alone. engie said:

As much as I want him to stay, if I had a kid in that dumpster fire I would want him to get the 17 out of there as well. Dealing with ridiculous fans sending you twitter messages, playing in a half full arena and having an assistant coach from Clemson as my new head coach would make most people want to at least look at other options.

Coach is right, you gotta pick one story and stick with it. Like one day claiming that stricklin wants a coach who won't recruit AAU players, then the next day saying we are hiring Kenny Payne and Worldwide Wes. Be consistent.

Obviously you either are ignorant of how scholarships work, or just choose to cry about it.
Scholarships are year to year. Neither the program or student commits for all seasons of eligibility.
After playing for his year, he chose to go elsewhere. This is no different than last season when we pushed out Riek. Or a couple seasons ago when we pushed out Turner. Rimmer was pushed out. It happens all the time in both our program and every high major(and most mid amours) across the country.
Why is it ok for a school to force a player out by choosing to not renew the scholarship, yet Hood is a *****(5 times over apparently) because he chose to not renew his scholarship?
Seems pretty illogical on your part. Or at best, inconsistent.
Oh, and is Moultrie a *****? He transferred from a program after a coaching change too. Is Roberts a *****? Is Power a *****? Is Brian Johnson a *****? All transferred.

People I have respect for: Robert Elliot. People I don't have respect for: Rodney Hood. Be a man. If in your head you think youre the next Lebron James then you could go to the University of Bum17 Egypt and it shouldn't matter. He was scouted as a lottery pick at one point at lowly MSU his freshman year. Sitting out and people forgetting about him and burried on the depth chart is going to help that? 17 him. If he stays, he's a man with balls and confidence in himself and I have respect for him. If not, I hope some annoying *** girl makes him feel terrible tomorrow on the last day of classes.
