Can anyone see upward positives for next year?

This team has packed it in and what do we have to look forward to for next year? Tyler may be our best qb by numbers, but he's not winning the big games. Mullen seems to be off on another planet during games. I thought the defense did a better job, but Tyler put them behind the eight ball all day long. Sure glad I stayed home for this one!

I'm looking.. can I have a little more time?

Honestly, I think we will be better at receiver and DE. But I'm way more worried about our inexplicable coaching problems.

I think the talent will be better, but not sure about the on field product.

We will be very young, but we should be more talented. I think Robert Johnson is a stud and will do very well next year. Morrow has huge upside but he has to put in the effort to get better. He made some bad plays this year and I'm hoping another year under Brewster will help him. Jameon is coming along and won't be as good as Bump, but he can be a decent replacement. Malcolm Johnson should also have an increased role and we will benefit from him being involved more. Then you add in Fred Brown and the true freshmen and I think we could have a decent crew of WRs. I think they will have some growing pains next year, but we should have more vertical threats and I think some of our true freshmen will have the opportunity to play early.

Don't forget about the two most recent JUCO's. Smith is supposed to be every bit as good as Bump and Chappelle looks like a more athletic Chris Smith.

Good call.

Forgot about Smith and Chappelle. I think we will be pretty good, but we desperately need a downfield weapon. We have to get defenses to back off and respect our ability to throw the ball down the field.

at least we maybe found our uniform scheme...they were absolutely ridiculous today...too bad we lost the game to match them.

That makes sense. More talent, just less exp. Fortunately wr is one of those positions you can be an impact player as a fr.

I liked what I saw from our d-line today. Autry looked awesome at times.

There's also the fact that we have our whole o-line, a 1,000 yard rusher, and a QB with 24 TD's coming back.

Calm down folks. We are 8-5 not 2-10. I think we will have a pretty decent team next year.

The players are the positives. We are much more talented than we were when Dan took the job.

Coaching is the big weak area. Not one of our assistant spots is better than it was right after Mullen took over. Some spots are occupied by the same people and have regressed.

this^. The talent will be better, but the coaching will not, and the schedule is a *****.

The running back battle will be interesting. Robinson looked solid today and Perk looked fresh, I think the carries wear on LDP.
