If Cristobal or Golden have the ability to attract Jeff Hafley, and also GA Mangus, can you imagine the recruiting firepower we would have?

Hafley as a Co-Defensive Coordinator/Secondary Coach (to justify the salary it would take to get him here....along with a more seasoned Co-DC for schemes.)

Mangus as an Offensive Coordinator/QB coach.

Keep Panagos on the staff (he is one of our best recruiters and coaches now.)

We would really have a chance to bring in some great classes, and compete on the field, if the coaching is there.

I think with the right staff, Mario or Al could really recruit. Recruiting is where its at guys.

What's the new coaches budget for assistants? If the Browns clean house he might actually become available, but with experience in the pros he won't come cheap.

I almost played for GA Magnus a decade ago. I loved the guy but didn't like the school enough(del Val)

This is so weird. Yeah you're a good coach, but you're one of the best at getting 17 year old dudes to like you. I know that's what it is in college football, but it's just so weird to me.

Completely agree with this. He's literally the only coach I'd keep and he's the only coach I'd try to get the new HC to keep. If the new guy wants to bring in his own people strictly fine, but I'd bet Panagos would have a damn good shot at sticking around.

Wilson, the running backs coach is the only assistant worth coming back based on unit performance. He also was assistant head coach and would give some continuity with the players.

I guess is depends a bit on how much we are paying the HC.

Politicians must feel the same way. Most of them have no idea what it's like to be a "regular guy at a regular job with a regular family." Yet that's exactly who they must appeal to.
