I'd say he is a step above even Richt.

Can we afford him?

Personally, I think we are a bubble team to even go bowling so I think one year of his sanctions would be worth it.

People here don't want him because of the show cause . However , I think it would be a great hire .

Surprised his name hasn't come up. Last year he was in the conversations and rumors if I recall.

Show Cause is pretty brutal, one false step and we get the death penalty and with our good luck...

erm..

yeah... pass.

Seriously? when the AD hire was partially influenced by the swirling talk of 'investigations' ?
Why would anyone consider a guy with a show cause order & a freight car full of baggage?
Yes, he is talented - but even if the money was there, this is not an 'affordable' option.

Pellini or Tressel shouldn't be anywhere near Rutgers after the hot mess we are trying to clear

I don't think RU wants to deal with his show cause. In addition, Tressel really is an Ohio guy. He has a nice, fat, cushy job right now in the place where he made his original mark.

No thanks on the "Vest". RU doesn't need that publicity. Additionally he is older, kind of stodgy. OSU recruits itself, RU doesn't.

I would take him in a second. I think he realized he screwed up and understands that he needs to be on his best behavior for his own future in coaching

Because a program that has been beset by controversy and scandal needs to bring in a guy who has a "show cause" order from the NCAA.

Are people that desperate to win around here? Seriously?
