Talked about this before: once they started cutting it off, as the huddle breaks, it was fine. No doubt they use to play it too long but about halfway through last year I talked to A-Rob about it, he agreed, an made the change. You only need the "noise" once the QB starts yelling signals. It's a GREAT tradition, otherwise, known nationally, and the kids love it (****, even most of the fans in north end zone, at least the RU ones, do it now as well...I'd guess a lot of younger alumns sitting there...).

I have no problem with "Family".. but "Forget About Me, I Love You".. is just a tortured anagram.
I love that they want to promote a real family vibe in the lockerroom. It is anti-gang anti-thug atmosphere you get glimpses of.. not that it stopped our own small cadre of thugs from being thugs.
My guess is we'll see some form of "be the best YOU".. work harder, blah blah blah.
The best things Schiano brought us that was very real and very valuable was focusing on time management and commitment to academics. Together this allows players to succeed in all phases and those that are driven to do so can and will succeed.
The guy I went to school with that did the best.. and I mean that in absolute terms.. he never wasted a moment. he had a good mind, nothing genius, not that I would know it if I saw it.. but the man was driven and was able to balance it all. He worked hard, played hard... never wasted a minute.
Under Flood I saw guys wasting time during games.. in the middle of plays. Just stood there watching. That has to end... and with a good D coach.. I expect it too.

Keep chopping is good. Chopnation is a thing. It's a good tagline, much better than battleready.
The third down guitar riff is something different. Multiple visiting fans have commented on it as unique and cool. Especially for a blackout game, it looks awesome. Not going anywhere.

Please, get rid of the Salmon pajamas. The fake, aged helmets...the whole look of the Flood era. I still can't believe we went for that to begin with. Go back to the 2006 uniforms, please!

2006 uniforms were red. Our color is not red, it is scarlet (approximately three parts red, one part orange). Our current uniforms, as were the 2008 uniforms that preceded them, are the correct color - scarlet.
If only the numbers were visible...

One problem with families -- they don't generally encourage internal rivalries for first team status and playing time.
Agree. The PA announcer is terrible. He mumbles " blah blah blah on the carry". Have never liked him. Uniforms suck too. Oh and please relieve Chris Carlin of his duties. His voice sucks for radio and he pissed me off calling us out a few weeks ago on here. Terrible ambassador for rutgers football. Francesca used to rip him.
Joe Nolan, the PA announcer and long-time ABC traffic reporter, also is the Jets PA announcer where he does the same shtick. I've heard it at many other venues.

People can say what they like but I've never been a fan of TTFP because that kind of stuff has to develop organically over time IMO, it shouldn't be manufactured. Before Woody Hayes did OSU ever call Michigan the the team from up north? I don't know did he even use that term when he first took over or was it something that developed later? Geography helps but then the games, the closeness of them, the stakes involved etc..all help build that rivalry up to the point where all these offshoots like TTFP etc..can evolve naturally and really take hold.
As to the uniforms, I think this was their last year anyway and they're set to change next year.

FAMILY is off the damn jerseys. That's the only thing that irritated me. I like the attitude, but advertising it was pretty lame.
