that this turned out to be a pretty decent signing class? Even with midget Favre, I like what we've got. We filled some major needs at OL and WR. Carr is going to be really good if he gets qualified. Signing both Robinson and Day was big. And as for midget Favre, it was a situation where you have to sign the Gatorade PotY if you're really serious about keeping the best players in state and coming to MState. Granted, I don't think he should ever play a down unless he's holding for field goals and extra points, but that's a different story. Plus, a Favre on the team gives us at least a little free publicity, which is something we need. And hopefully it will lead to a nice donation from Uncle Favre. So there are at least positives to be had off the field by signing midget Favre. Still, I think this is a nice second class for Mullen & Co, considering we were the only SEC school other than Vandy to not play in a bowl this season and Mississippi is coming off their 2nd straight Cotton Bowl victory. If we can get to a bowl next season, look out.
