When Tommy throws 5 picks against Ohio State everyone will lose their minds because they'll look back on stats like this game while ignoring the warning signs. Tommy constantly misreads, misfires, under throws, over throws, misses wide open receivers and under performs. Throw in his decision-making and he's lost us more games than he's won us. The stats from today show us 2 things: how good and athletic our WRs are and 2, how horrible their DBs are. I'm really really nervous to face a defense with a pulse until we get a Riley QB in there.

I almost forgot. He was screwed on Riley's catch too. Borderline hypothetical but it was a catch. I am now saying he threw for 400 plus.

TA didnt just have one bad throw, he had several. We were lucky that he didnt have more than that one terrible pick, but he had several bad throws. They didnt result in interceptions, but they resulted in incompletions that stalled drives. Our WR's also bailed out TA on a few of the catches they made on some bad passes that he made with some nice catches. He missed targets that any high level D1 QB should be connecting on, especially a 5th year player and 4 year starter should be making. His footwork is still poor, his pocket awareness has also not improved. His decision making in the ZR game has still not improved. Again vs better teams, TA's flaws will be exposed more, they are just not as magnified

It appears to me that TA has not made any progress from last year, and that will become clearer (unless something changes) once we start playing teams that are at higher level than WY and Fresno.

When we start playing teams with tough defenses that are going to stack the box and make TA beat them (ALA like Iowa did last year) we are going to find very tough sledding to win games. That is, unless TA gets more consistent in his game. I just do not see that type of improvement as of yet, and I am not alone, that is why people are ticked about the horrible pass in the Endzone where TA threw the ball to three white jerseys which was horrendous.

I think the coaching staff needs to continue to make a big deal about the turnover. They have been stressing the heck out of it, and it's been working. We got one today, I don't want the coaching staff letting up on it. You hold TA accountable and to the wall for it for the rest of the season. If we end the season with only 6 interceptions, they and TA will have done an awesome job. So I still think you make a big deal out of it. Don't forget all the good plays he made today though. He played one heck of a game.

Let's not forget the almost pick 6 that was dropped. It's not like he made one bad play. He made one horrifically bad play that cost us 7 and he made a few other bad plays that we got lucky that didn't burn us.

I think people were hoping for the 'new and improved Armstrong.' Every year we hear about how he learned to use his check downs or that he learned to throw it away or that he learned to minimize turnovers. That pick just showed that he is the same old up and down, hot and cold, unpredictable QB. Peoples hopes were dashed by that pick. And that is why they are so upset about one throw.

I'm sure you never got lucky. Scott Frost & Nebraska git lucky against Missouri. If that didn't happen, one less national championship for Nebraska. It's part of the game.

For the most part Tommy has really played within himself this year. And with all the playmakers we have that's all he really needs to do to be successful.

The defense is really playing solid and that'll help counteract any mistakes Tommy makes. Last year there was no room for error and so every mistake was magnified a hundred fold. This year we might have some breathing room.

Thank you for your positive outlook. Tommy threw for 377 and 3 TD's and ran for 1 TD. A good game by any standard. I believe he play a major part in winning us 8 or 9 games this year.

These guys aren't stupid. It makes it difficult to run when there are 9 guys in the box. It isn't that Langs is "itching" to throw... Mike Riley's best teams where when he had backs that went for 1300-1400 yards. Add in the component of jet sweeps. I suppose you are in the crowd that we need to get 22 kids from Nebraska because we would be better as well?

Overall, he had a decent game, but that was a very costly interception. It kept Wyoming in the game until the end of the 3rd quarter. Last year, it could have been a very different outcome than it was today. Everything you do matters at that level of competition.

As far as all the yardage I give most of the credit to the receivers. Many times the balls are close, but not thrown where they need to be and our receivers make great catches and great runs. See swing pass to newby as a perfect example. Against better pass defenses I don't see that happening.

It is no t speculation that TA missed several easy throws. It is also not speculation that TA's WR's bailed him out on a few balls by catching poorly thrown balls.

It is also not speculation that you want underdogs hanging around on your home turf going into the 4th quarter.

I also do not think it is speculation that our QB needs to clean up stuff or else against better teams it will bite us in the butt. We have seen numerous examples of this with TA over the years, so is that speculation or speaking about previous facts?
