Can we win tomorrow and not win the west?

I'm sure it's been discussed in another thread.

I think LSU is going to be dead tomorrow. I know they're still fighting for a regional, but it's hard for me to believe that they'll have their A game tomorrow.

If we two way tie with either Bama or Arkansas, they will win the West since they both hold the series win over us. So Arkansas would need to sweep their DH with OM tomorrow, or Bama would need to beat SC tomorrow. But if we two way tie with either Auburn or OM, we would hold the tiebreaker over them with our series win over each of them.

Any win tomorrow and MSU will share the Western Division title, get a trophy and be called a champion in the record books

We will have a t-shirts printed that say MSU __ National Champions ___ despite the fact that we may have only beaten the National Champions once.

No T-shirts for a SEC-West title tie where we aren't the West top seed & without a winning record. That is only the themidgets up north.

We may share the championship with 1-3 other teams, but as PaperDog points out THERE ARE NO TIEBREAKERS FOR DETERMINING DIVISION CHAMPIONS IN THE SEC. It's incredible how hard it is for some people to understand.

Both games will decide either a division champ, a toruney participant,or a tourney elimination. Therefore they have to be played even if not until Monday. But I think they are fine to play today.

It'd be pretty tough to ask a team to play a DH in Fayetteville on Monday, then play again in Hoover in the SECT on Wednesday. Not saying it's not feasible, just not sure the SEC would do it. Hell, they're even making them play 2 7-inning games today even though there's no reason in the world for it.

I figured it's the last weekend, schools out, it's a Saturday, and they would go ahead and let them play 9 in both games. Either way I think both games get played today regardless. They have all day to do it since I don't think the rules for games starting after a certain time come in to play today since tomorrow is still the weekend and today is the last day of the season. If weather becomes a problemI would bet theywait around all day if they have to.

Both games today .... both are seven innings ... Game one must get started by 8 p.m. CT

If they decided to play only one in advance, it would go back to being nine innings

Rules are such to keep all 30 games on equal footing ... in other words, this series treated the same as a weekend series in March in Gainesville
