Canning Flood: what would be the negative press?

Still curious to see what would be the negative press from canning Flood? Because a school that is $20 million in debt becomes $21.5 million in debt? Didn't some "big time booster" guarantee his buyout?

The dude is dead man walking. He knew it the minute he started typing up Barnwell's paper.

Couldn't give a rat's hairy ***. The guy

- can't beat ANY decent coaching staff
- can't recruit
- can't recruit in-state to save his life
- doesn't listen to his advisers, when told not to do something he isn't supposed to do in the first place, and is a liar and a sneak
- is beyond clueless as to how to handle a qb situation
- teams get routinely embarrassed on national tv
- is 1-3 on Homecoming losing by a combined score of 134-64 if my math is correct

I think the press would be behind a firing, I see no fallout here

Never underestimate what they'll come up with Bac. They'll harp on the fairly recent contract extension and buyout.

Harp? Hell, they'll beat it into a bloody heap.

BTW, after today I've come over to the dark side. Just call me Darth Knightfan7.

Nothing. Maybe NJ dot com can pull some nonsense out of their butts for a day or two.

But it will be postive and even more so once the new HC is introduced.

Of course there will be media fallout. It's NJ and the SL. But who cares?

Why would there be negative press ? I think the press would applaud his firing and say it was long overdue

Keeping him will bring negative press.
Firing him will do the same
So whatever RU does, it will be spun into a negitive , one way or another .

This is how Flood feels:

Politi has already called for Flood to be fired, as have a couple of others

I think the press would celebrate his canning.
He's the epitome of boring and faceless, he's a reporters nightmare.

Hacks like Tara Sullivan called for him to be fired weeks ago. It would be well received. And then the next day they would rip us for spending money on the buy out and new coach salary. Welcome to the hell that is NJ.

Any sports writer who thinks it's the wrong move is lying. Any no sports writers who complain shouldn't matter. RU has the opportunity to make a lot of money in the Big Ten but it's time to treat the football team like a business

Headlines:

Rutgers survives FLOOD Damage.
Star Liar would have under that: But pays the price , which it can't afford.
Anyone who thinks the Liar and trash site partner won't be spinning the positive of getting rid of Flood into the negative of paying a buyout hasn't looked closely at the way that rag and OnLie covers RU FB.
They make negatives out of positives when RU FB is involved and have done that for years.
