We weren't Knocking doown2 straight games.
Great job battling back from double digits in both games.
No clutch at all.
He got us to three straight NCAA tournaments in his first three years. Literally, no other coach in our history has done so. So, who are we bringing in to do at least that well.Tell me why folks are scared to lose 8-10 Jans? Let his butt walk and let’s bring in a winner

Rick Stansbury says ********, or are you 15 years old?He got us to three straight NCAA tournaments. Literally, no other coach in our history has done so.
YesAre we still safely in the tournament?
And no, it’s not a bash Jans post, and yes, I absolutely hope he stays.
I corrected it accordingly. I remember Stan’s first three years were summed up with the phrase, “you can’t spell Rick Stansbury, without N-I-T.” Too bad his teams folded every MarchRick Stansbury says ********, or are you 15 years old?
At least they waited till March.I corrected it accordingly. I remember Stan’s first three years were summed up with the phrase, “you can’t spell Rick Stansbury, without N-I-T.” Too bad his teams folded every March
Rick’s first three teams were either NIT or at home.At least they waited till March.
And we’ve seen what this team looks like when they play like they care for 40 minutes. Memphis, Pitt, A&M…If they would play the whole game like they play the last 5 minutes we would have won the OK, TX, and Ark games. The entire game matters.
It’s a valid point, but the kids getting paid to put on a uniform is just as big of an issue as his inability to adjust. At some point there was a change in tempo on the court. Guess it was mid SEC play. They’ve played with minimal or less effort more than they haven’t. That’s prob not on the coach, but something happened along the way. The body language is obvious for the last month or so. Who knows? He got us to three straight NCAA tournaments in his first three years. Literally, no other coach in our history has done so. Currently does it matter? Its one and done barring miracles upon miracles. Are we still safely in the tournament?
And no, it’s not a bash Jans post, and yes, I absolutely hope he stays.
Correct. It’s the money they’re getting just to show up. We have average players with zero grit.If they would play the whole game like they play the last 5 minutes we would have won the OK, TX, and Ark games. The entire game matters.
Finding great replacement coaches is easy. -MSU FootballHe got us to three straight NCAA tournaments in his first three years. Literally, no other coach in our history has done so. So, who are we bringing in to do at least that well.
Yes it matters. We won’t be playing SEC teams.Currently does it matter? Its one and done barring miracles upon miracles.
The Babe would have done so if allowed to.He got us to three straight NCAA tournaments in his first three years. Literally, no other coach in our history has done so. So, who are we bringing in to do at least that well.
Maybe we can move the defensive coach overFinding great replacement coaches is easy. -MSU Football
I don’t know who we bring in to do it, but I can’t help but think he’s not the only person out there that can do it. He’s not God’s gift to MSU.He got us to three straight NCAA tournaments in his first three years. Literally, no other coach in our history has done so. I would say it’s either the same or actually more difficult than before because NIL has spread the talent out more. And it’s 68 teams, not 80+ like bowl games are.Making the NCAA tourney is not the feat it used to be in the power conferences anymore. With all the money being spent to build rosters and coach them. It’s akin to bowl games doubling in football. But there are fewer schools putting the amount of resources in today’s basketball to get there. Because we are in the SEC we have an advantage that used to not exist. Thanks to transfers and NIL. Nowadays it’s about advancing once there. We’ll see what we can do with this years squad. We’ve got to begin winning games in March soon.
There are 35 bowl gsmes + 12 playoff teams. So 82 teams total. But a lot of those are 6-6 teams from mid major conferences. In SEC & Big 10 it’s about as easy to make NCAAT (23 teams projected) as it is to make a bowl game (25 teams).I would say it’s either the same or actually more difficult than before because NIL has spread the talent out more. And it’s 68 teams, not 110+ like bowl games are.
If they expand the tournament then you can make that argument that it’s easier to get in but right now it’s still pretty damn hard to make the dance.
Yeah I meant to edit that and forgot. Thanks. There are 35 bowl gsmes + 12 playoff teams. So 82 teams total. But a lot of those are 6-6 teams from mid major conferences. In SEC & Big 10 it’s about as easy to make NCAAT (23 teams projected) as it is to make a bowl game (25 teams).
Completely agree. This is like people b*tching about Mullen. Jans is one of only 4 successful coaches in our history. We’ll be damn lucky if we can keep him. And it will be a bad day if/when he leaves. If we want to go down this road that we can do better at head coach we would be playing a dangerous game.
It's never gonna be a quick fix for Msu Basketball nor football. NIL can bring players but many or sometimes it brings bad chemistry, jealously occurs which I have been told occurred this year. I think it's somewhat better, but it has created problems inside the dressing room.Completely agree. This is like people b*tching about Mullen. Any time you bring in as many new players every year as is the norm these days, you’re going to have some problems. It's never gonna be a quick fix for Msu Basketball nor football. I would say you can expect a little more from Jan’s without wanting to replace him. Finishing 1-4 against the easiest part of our schedule is a disappointment. And Jans definitely has some missteps this year, first of all being so stubborn on D to not adjust to guard the 3 point line. Questionable rotations at times as well. But you should be able to point that out without being lumped in with the fire him crowd.Yeah I meant to edit that and forgot. Thanks.

We ran off royal. We ran off moorhead. No flinching.Y’all member all that complaining about merlinz not being able to compete with elite programs?
I member.
Don’t disagree with this at all but there are some who want to move on which is silly talk.I would say you can expect a little more from Jan’s without wanting to replace him. I blame DS and his post shortly after the Texas A&M win suggesting that a higher seed was right there for the taking given the incredibly favorable remaining schedule. Of course he knew better than to post that $h!+.I would say you can expect a little more from Jan’s without wanting to replace him.
