Can't wait to see the depth chart this week

Going into the first game - I was surprised of all the "incumbents" keeping their starting spots, especially on the O-line. I'm not at practice, so who am I to judge the coaching staff?

Now three games in - it is obvious that some back-ups should be playing. There have been numerous linemen, on both sides of the ball, that have flat performed better than the starters. Our backup QB showed poise on the field, which we haven't seen in 2+seasons.

Not to throw more shine at Stoops and his staff, but I am much more interested in how guys perform in actual games than in practice. This isn't junior high ball - production is the bottom line. The last two staff's have been so worried about how guys "practice" that gamers rarely get the chance to show their stuff.

If there isn't multiple changes this week - I will be very disappointed

I like not publicizing changes. Esp at qb. Our offense is way different with Johnson in there instead of barker. Why say (even if you do plan on it and barker is able to play) we are gonna play this way. Now they have to prepare for a more traditional pocket passing AND a read option scheme. Puts more on plate of defense and don't allow them to focus on just Johnson. Cause I promise you even if not the first series, first sign of trouble he will be there

and there it is - no changes
ha!
and there it is - no changes
ha!

Wouldn't put much stock in this, it's basically worthless. For instance...last week Allen/Bonner listed as 1 and 2 at OLB but K. Walker started despite being suspended for the UF game. Elam listed as starter vs NM St but seldom played as Pringle clearly moved past him. Mosier, Haynes, Toth, Meyers, and Meadows listed as starters in OL vs NM St but Young, Stenburg, Toth, Bunchy and GAA played most of the game. Baker listed as starter but hasn't played in 2 of 3 games. Looks like they're trying to play mind games.

The problems with this depth chart that fly off the page to me are:
1. QB...why we don't at least slow play Barker to see what Johnson can do vs. USC is a bad move to me. You can always state..we don't want to rush Drew back.
2. Dorian Baker over Richardson to me is a huge problem for me. Tavin made great plays vs. So Miss and Baker is just a slow WR with a huge body. I don't get it but with how much you rotate WR each play...not a huge ordeal.
3. Snell behind JoJo...Snell is a true pounder and compliment to Boom. But we'll go back to Snell getting less than 4 carries vs. USC.
4. Elam starting at all? Even in a 3-4 look, Pringle, Middleton are clearly more active. I'd love to see Dubose with more snaps as he can at least move more than 1 foot in 2 seconds..whcih Elam clearly can't do.
5. They've not benched Love for a snap all year..so I've resigned to seeing him run around and make no plays for the entire year while teams slam the ball up the middle at us.
6. Cole Mosier is starting over Landon Young...we'll see how that pans out.

But this is basically the same depth chart we started the year with essentially with exception Kobie Walker is nowhere to be found.

Kobie Walker started vs NM St, I was stunned to see him running around still misaligned.
