Man, I don't know if that was luck, humidity, or Glaus not being what he was, or a combination of all three, but that scared the crap out of me. Motte kind of gave in to him.

That said, Motte has the tools to be the best closer in baseball, but he has to learn how to control his pitches better.

I thought bringing in Billy Wagner in the 8th down by one was a little bit interesting, but he might have needed some work, so I'm not going to be critical.

When you lose 6 now 7 straight. Your closer usuallydon't get many opportunities... unless your blowing saves... which hasn't been the case with the braves. The offense just blows ***!</p>

The ball just does not travel at all in Busch. Travels pretty well right down the left field line, and also to right to right-center, but it takes a jack to get out left center to center. There's no telling how many balls Albert has hit off the walls in the last 4 years that would have been no doubters in most parks. Check out the park advantage stats from espn when it comes to homeruns in Busch when compared to on the road. I remember watching the first series when it opened in 06 and it seemed like everything was gong to fly out, I was afraid it was going to be another Great American Ballpark, as Mark Mulder cranked a homer in the first game there, but that hasnt been the case.

And our combination of suckage and snake bit right now is terrible. One of these days, this team is going to start hitting. Too much talent to be this bad. When that will be, I have no clue.
