Tells me his 4* rating was over-inflated. I had heard he was very athletic; but, WR-wise he was raw.

I didn’t realize that a walk-on had to enter the portal. I just assumed that they’d just leave 🙃

Yes, hadn’t seen that before. My guess … Portal = free advertising…. Perhaps he’s hoping to go somewhere that he can earn a scholarship.

So the WKU guy didn’t care for the “big pond”.

We’ll see who shows up for kick off.
I know…right? These guys seem to give up pretty quickly. For the WKU LB - I guess between the two starters coming back plus the other transfer (whose name I forget) and Capers…might not be much PT available I guess.

In years past, kids worked through the disappointment of knowing they are not likely to play at the school they selected, but now the Portal allows provides an avenue for them to make a change. I know some of us fans could interpret it as a negative, but I honestly see it as a positive. If a kid is not 100% committed to being a Cardinal, it’s best for the team if they just move on and open a slot for Jeff and the staff to go shopping for a better candidate.

Was Vinatieri our starter or a backup? Wish I had some sort of depth chart coming out of spring football!
