I think, offensively, she needs to stop hunting shots and let the game come to her. Defensively-she gets beat a lot; however, she does recover pretty well and has quick hands. Just a little smarter on both ends can really help her.

Beat me to it. Passing disappeared. Movement disappeared. Defensive stops disappeared. HVL needs to drive for a layup or drive and dish. Too many jumpshots which are not falling. We have destroyed them in the paint and very little been pushed into the land lately. Haven’t seen Nyla for a while and she needs to get back in.

I think it's pretty clear now why Verhultz left with the play of Russell. I remember thinking the past two seasons that Russell would transfer as she played mostly in mop up games. But she's gotten better and it was the higher rated recruit that transferred.

I have been very pleasantly surprised with Marissa I like her game. We have a ways to go yet but I think we can get there. I think the bigs are the ones that can make us or break us. I also don’t think we are that far behind the other top teams in the ACC.

Concussion, as I recall her getting hit in the head again a few games back. She plays fearlessly and subject to more contact that most.

Russell has been getting more and more confident. She can play inside and outside. Still want more Nyla. It was like coach forget she was on the bench in that third qtr.

I would like to see us play more pressure defense and disrupt the opponent. Remember when North Carolina deployed that 5 minute pressure defense by subbing out 4 or 5 players at a time.

Ohio st beat us pressing the entire game. They way Chrislynn is playing now, I would like to play them again. And yes, Marissa is producing far more than Verhulst, which surprised me. I also thought Merissa would have transferred by now. I’m glad she hung around.

MR is a very good player of the bench. Shooting three’s really well. Good role player this year and next. Hope she accepts her role and sticks with it. I was never on PVH. No defense what so ever.

When examining PVH performance prior to her transferring, it is pretty evident that her time on the bench was well deserved. While I was disappointed that she left, it would have been difficult to justify any more playing time given her horrendous shooting percentage, coupled with her inability to defend.

Anyone struggling offensively has a chance to redeem themselves on the defensive end …… not sure PVH was willing to assert herself there.
