On another note what do people think of him as an announcer ? I think he's much better at football than basketball . I love his enthusiasm . But he's had some major gaffes over the years : the smu football game and the j Mitch 4 point play against Villanova come to mind .
On Saturday night I found myself in the car early and caught some of the radio broadcast . Carlin actually asked Lucas what a high ankle sprain is. Kinda weird . But it's obvious the guy cares about Rutgers and wants a winner

Just because you ask your broadcast colleague what a high ankle sprain is, doesn't mean you don't know what it is. It's just a way to get the injury explained.

My biggest nit pick of Carlin is the way he gets excited when the other team scores a TD.

my understanding is we all participated in one of the Shower Dreams scenes where we think something dramatic happened but a few episodes later we all find out it was only a dream.

hes serviceable for football but terrible for basketball. I don't like his squealing for either broadcast
