Does anyone know what type of court procedure Carroo will have? Would he typically have to stand trial for the charges he has? Most importantly, could this be resolved before the end of the season?

I guess it could be resolved on October 1 if the charges are dropped. How likely that is, I cannot say.
The alleged victim's RO hearing got pushed out.
Per Julie on Saturday, "This will all be over Ot. 1st."
this is now a he said/she said situation and he has a friend who has admitted that he, not Carroo, was the one to toss the hostess.

According to a NY Post article from a few days ago, the hearing for the restraining order was postponed to October 6th.
Wish they had a face palm emoji. So wrong, yet I laughed.As a graduate of "Law and Order" law school, I predict that this is a circumstantial case that is not sufficiently supported by enough facts to go to trial. [pfftt]
Isn't this municipal court? If what we are hearing is true, the charges could be dropped, or If there is a trial, wouldn't it be on Oct 1st?
I am NOT a pollyanna...but I hope this all gets taken care of(ie dropped) and Caroo is back with the team at some point.

I am a "sky is blue" guy but I believe this is far from over. I also think the best thing that could happen IF Carroo is not guilty is there is a resolution that leaves no doubt or at the least as little as possible. Any strong reason to doubt his innocence will continue to hurt him.
we have only seen the evidence released to the press. but, as i mentioned the other day in another thread, based on the alleged victim's contradictory and ever-changing statements, there is no way that LC is going to be convicted. it needs to be "beyond a reasonable doubt" and anyone who was watched Law & Order (forget actually being an attorney) can establish reasonable doubt here. but, i agree with knightfan7, it will not end things. he also needs the restraining order issue to go away. if that happens he will be back on the field for MSU.
If the date gets pushed back and he is found innocent, does his stock still fall in the NFL's eyes and does he think about redshirting and coming back in 2016 ?
If he is back - great! But keep in mind that all of the people on Carroo's side who are earning large legal fees are only, absolutely only, focused on maneuvering Carroo and his reputation into a spot that clears the path to the NFL.
If Salvaging his NFL potential happens to end up putting him back on the RU team - fine with them -

I'd like to further explore the whole "tailgating outside the court" idea.
As far as I remember, you can plan during the season and still redshirt. You just have to play less than a certain percentage of games and I think none in the 2nd half of the season?

That's only if he has an injury the prevents him from playing, ala what Hamilton is facing. Since he is perfectly healthy, if he played one snap that counts as a season of eligibility.

Mother-in-law of a close relative. Died fairly young, following a long illness. At the tail-end of the wake I walked out into the parking lot and all the cousins (who were from Big 12 country, if that matters) were out there with a full-blown setup.
I got the sense that it was one of those "celebration of life" things that happens a lot when somebody who's been really sick for a long time finally lets go. It's as if all the shock has long passed, most of the grief has long run its course and the only thing left is to reminisce about the good times.
