Leonte Carroo's attorney plans to ask Rutgers to reassess its position on the indefinitely suspended football star following the latest round of legal proceedings Thursday in municipal court.

I don't see Flood changing his position regarding the suspension if this goes to court. The media and public backlash will be enormous, and rightly so, if they put him back on the field under those conditions.

Fair or unfair Rutgers cannot reinstate him. sure it sucks if he's indeed innocent but it's not Rutgers fault he finds himself in this position.

Before anyone says it yes, most of us would have done the same thing (leave the Hale and become "involved") in the heat of the moment.

As far as I remember, you can plan during the season and still redshirt. You just have to play less than a certain percentage of games and I think none in the 2nd half of the season?

You can't play a single second, in ANY sport, and RS, unless you apply and are approved for a "hardship" waiver (aka "medical red shirt).

Yeah, they corrected me somewhere back in this thread. Sorry, the article I had read was vague (and was talking about Hamilton) so without thinking I just remembered the sentence forgetting the part of hardship.
