I missed whatever happened that didnt let Alabama get the ball back because my kid changed the channel and ran off with the remote lol.
Both look pretty good on D imo, bama has a really good and fast secondary but we’re getting a lot of push from our d-line. I’ll take five sacks and a grounding every single day. Both teams with less than 150 yards in the half.
Is it great defense or poor offense ??
I really really really hate to do this ..but can't you see he's clearly the guy? Vice versa when a guy isn't the guy? (Pope). I'm just saying.Stein is the real deal. Even if we don’t win this game, it’s clear to me we hired the right guy.
Wouldn’t you say a lot of that is because we made them look bad though? I thought we were disruptive.Kentucky will have to play better in the second half to hold the lead. We can't expect Alabama to be that bad another half.
Exactly. Bama will come put fired up. UK will have to match that.Kentucky will have to play better in the second half to hold the lead. We can't expect Alabama to be that bad another half.
I'll give you some of it.Wouldn’t you say a lot of that is because we made them look bad though? I thought we were disruptive.
I don’t know why that’s directed at me. I don’t even know how I feel about Pope, but this a football game thread and I don’t think Pope is relevant here at this timeI really really really hate to do this ..but can't you see he's clearly the guy? Bama LB clapped his hands trying to get our guys to jump, 5 yard penalty giving us first downI missed whatever happened that didnt let Alabama get the ball back because my kid changed the channel and ran off with the remote lol.
No way we could have gotten set up in time to spike the ball in recent years either.Eh. The timeout being called was a mistake, but getting the extra yards for a FG try with 2 seconds was perfection.
For people crying that we are being aggressive in the last 2 minutes, you guys are the same ones who were whining that we were not aggressive like this during stoops.
Because we are aggressive and Stein got the rule right, gave us an opportunity to score a TD but we got FG instead. By happy we are up 17-13. And that Stein is NIGHT and DAY from Stoops.
Geez some of you people.
It wasn't directed at you. I said sorry for mentioning Pope in the football threadI don’t know why that’s directed at me. I don’t even know how I feel about Pope, but this a football game thread and I don’t think Pope is relevant here at this time
But Coach Pope won easy today...I don’t know why that’s directed at me. I don’t even know how I feel about Pope, but this a football game thread and I don’t think Pope is relevant here at this time
Yep. Stoops would have floundered there with a half cocked jaw open in disbeliefNo way we could have gotten set up in time to spike the ball in recent years either.
I guess he's still dinged up? He was supposed to be back this week. Kauwe, BTWWhat happened to that Kumway kicker guy btw? Kauway? Am I making someone up? Stg there was a kicker named that.
Totally agreeOverall ... a very impressive half by the Cats !!!
Agreed. I am very happy with Steins philosophy. Its basically Oregon Football Philosophy now in the SEC. The mere fact we are competitive right now is insane. And Oregon loosing to OK State shows how much Stein was missed on that coaching staff. Not a single damn person should have any complaints right now. A week ago we were all wondering if we could win 5 games. And we're now 2 quarters away from beating *Alabama* and being 2-0.
Barring a bad 2nd half blowout, UK needs to start thinking of how to keep Stein for the long haul. Its early, just two games, but I always got the sense that he just gets it. Just strikes me as a guy who is gonna build strong programs anywhere.
KM throwing our WR into double coverage by lofting the ball. Not good. Got lucky that was not an INT.I liked having the nads to toss it into the end zone on first down.
Said this way before the season ever began about Stein! Not a single damn person should have any complaints right now. A week ago we were all wondering if we could win 5 games. And we're now 2 quarters away from beating *Alabama* and being 2-0.

No argument on the execution of the play but I was talking about the coaching mentality of going for seven there with no timeouts and under 20 seconds.KM throwing our WR into double coverage by lofting the ball. Not good. Got lucky that was not an INT.
You really do have a mancrush, don't you? J/KSomebody put an APB out for Patterson.
"Haven't seen him"....
Yeah, he looked really good on his one series. Barnes is also back, wonder if we might see him in shirt down situations. Why is Patterson on a milk carton since roughing up bama? I'm dumbfounded.
Cute, but no... if you're gonna "feed the studs" Baxter has not been that stud against bama. Patterson has been more explosive. You really do have a mancrush, don't you? J/K
Would not be fair to our opponents if he gets to play.Has Afari played? Saw Wallace getting a number of snaps.
Love the call, just a poor throw. Stein was going for a kill shot .No argument on the execution of the play but I was talking about the coaching mentality of going for seven there with no timeouts and under 20 seconds.
Baxter has had some nice plays so far but I agree about Patterson. I want to see them both get touches.Cute, but no... if you're gonna "feed the studs" Baxter has not been that stud against bama. Patterson has been more explosive.
Agreed. Gotta get the offense going but it’s been a good fight today. Not a single damn person should have any complaints right now. A week ago we were all wondering if we could win 5 games. And we're now 2 quarters away from beating *Alabama* and being 2-0.
