Just a rock solid nonconference slate this year….gotta give Selmon credit for that. Still plenty of tough ones left with Pitt, Memphis, and even a sneaky good McNeese team that played Bama to single digits in Tuscaloosa and also gave Liberty a pretty good game.

I don’t think ADs have anything to do with the basketball schedule.

I think that’s a pretty absurd assumption. They oversee the budget of the entire athletics department, and playing lots of big name teams, road / neutral site games in the the non-conference, and preseason tournaments costs money.

The coaches do the legwork in basketball. Mens and women’s.

The Pitt game wasn’t even set by our coaches. Part of the SEC-ACC challenge. All the other games I think you give Jans credit for.
