The heel turn was a holy shít moment and then it kinda fell flat.
Cena only has 4 months left until he retires so he’s going to turn back face at some point.

That went about as poorly as it possibly could have after the initial start of it. The Rock kicked that whole thing off and then never came back. They gave Travis Scott a way bigger role than they ever should have. And then Cena didn’t really have a great reason for doing it, he just cut the same “you people” promo every week to explain it. And he also hasn’t been on TV just a ton during this heel run.

100% agree. This whole Cena heel run has been poorly executed and mildly entertaining at best. Rock’s vanishing act made no sense, and he never should’ve been a part of the story if he was going to disappear.
Then, the split second turn from traditional Cena to whiny, angry, b*tch Cena was just dumb. If the story was going to be about this building animosity towards the fans, it should’ve been a slow burn. Not An instant heel turn.
And finally, the feuds and matches have been forgettable. Cena/Punk should’ve been an epic feud, but it came and went without many even noticing. The whole thing has just been a poorly scripted story

Night 1 of SS was meh. Watched it with a group of people who weren't big rasslin fans. They popped the loudest for the Jelly Roll match.
The Rollins cash-in was predictable. He and LA Knight did a great job setting it up. But once Rollins failed to post pictures of his injury on IG or X, I was pretty sure it was a work.

Didn’t help that the actual match at mania was absolutely terrible.
I liked the Punk match fine but like you said, they went through that story so quickly when it could’ve lasted several months.
That’s cool. I’m just giving you a hard time. I’ve tried AEW a few times, but I can’t get into it. I was really rooting for it early on, then dropped off. For my tastes, it was too much all at once… like, once everybody starts diving out of the ring through tables, it loses its effect. To be fair, WWE can suffer from this too.
I tried it again when CM Punk came back, but I found myself just forwarding to his stories, then when they started putting it on Max, I tried it again. I’ll watch a couple of spots on YouTube, but honestly, it’s just Toni Storm or Harley Cameron clips. MJF does some good promos too.
