some players still arent buying in to the Freezus ministry
lots of injuries for them so far
reports of true freshmen not only looking to play, but showing out for them
awful QB play- and QB's sitting out practice over a blister (wtf, a blister????- could you imagine Russell telling Mullen he has to sit out over a blister?)
a terrible OL
lack of depth everywhere
and a fanbase that is in serious need of something to feel good about

A Central Arkansas victory could set off quite a chain reaction from the players all the way thru the fanbase.

But also wouldn't be surprised by it. UCA will be one of the very best teams in FCS, and OM will be one of the worst in FBS.

Check out Central Arkansas' season last year here: http://ucasports.com/sche...ath=football&schedule=16

They can not afford to lose to ANY teams they are supposed to beat. The majority of the fanbase is just now starting to buy in to Freeze... This would put them right back into the Houston Nutt mindset

They will blame Nutt. They are going to blame Nutt for 2 years like the democrats blamed Bush. Freeze was chosen by Archie, loves God, and is the best recruiter ever. He may turn out to be a great coach, or this may be a Croom hire for them, but the inmates still run the asylum at the spirit. If you want some comedic reading the spirit thinks he is the next Saban and were debating if Saban could win with this team.

A glimpse of the spirit
"Freeze knows how to win with less. Saban does not - he lost to Louisiana-Monroe and went 6-6 at Alabama before he $tarted hauling in huge recruiting cla$$e$. He also was outmaneuvered in a large way by the Utah coaching staff in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago. He doesn't outcoach folks as much as he outrecruit$ them

I'm not sure Saban could do here what he's done at Bama or LSU. We simply do not have the money to throw at the support system or infrastructure that he demands. But he could build a successful program here, much like he did at Michigan St. I think we will see the same from Hugh Freeze.

He wouldn't win any more than Freeze, because he's going to put in his system and we don't have the players to make it work. Freeze might actually win more"</p>

I think he was paraphrasing the Spirit idiots.

Regardless of what Freeze is or isn't...or what success he has or doesn't...

I may get blasted for this, but Bjork is as far from a GOB as they could have hired. Unless I miss my guess, he's going to be an excellent AD, much in the way Byrne was for us, and has proven in the past to be willing to pull the trigger on tough personnel moves. He didn't hire Freeze, and I expect Freeze to have a short leash because of it...

Bjork was a major step in the right direction for them....The first one they've made since the (AD that went between Boone's 2 tenures) hired Bianco.

I agree that Bjork was a very good hire for UM. He's the first AD they've ever hired who actually has the training and experience to be an AD in today's world of college sports. The days when an old football coach (or the current coach) could be a decent AD are gone. And a banker isn't going to be any better. Guys like Stricklin, Bjork and Byrne spent their careers working in athletic administration training to be an AD.

There is reason for concern for the bears. Like alot of FCS rosters, there are a number a transfers from FBS schools, including Jesse Grandy from Ole Miss. In addition to Grandy, there are transfers from Tennessee, Texas Tech, and TCU. I still think Ole Miss wins but look for this one to be very close in the 4th quarter

Sorry, by inmates I meant the inmates at the spirit. The quotes werecopy and paste quotes from the spirit talking about Freeze.I was making fun of them about being chosen by Archie, etc. Will clarify that next time.

Bjorkshould be a good AD.

Freeze has surrounded himself with a staff full of retreads and others with extremely little experience:

Their Defensive Coordinator has been fired from several different schools after just 1-3 years at each.

Their Defensive Line coach has ONE season of coaching experienceat any level.

Their Co-Offensive Coordinator was OC at Ole Miss when they had the #108 and #104 scoring offenses in the NCAA in 2006 and 2007.

Their other Co-OC (and Offensive Line coach)has been the running game coordinator the past 4 seasons at Duke when they had the #103, #120, #104, and #115 rushing offenses in the NCAA.
