Interesting article and explained what's going on. I find it disappointing that the new generation doesn't want to wear red pants for road games myself and many other fill this is as a big of a winning tradition as the Blackshirts is for the defense which all this started during the Devaney era which I grew up.

If the players want to wear white pants for away games fine let's wear red helmets in place of the red pants.

If it looks weird with white socks white shoes and white leggings along with red pants then let's have Red helmets for away games and wear white or red pants.

Sure a few of you that are younger don't understand the true meaning of this just like Tommie and our younger generation of players.

I figured you'd be the first to chime in with nothing of substance
Come on Scarlet.....the "who moved my cheese" was funny. You gotta admit that!

Personally I don't get wrapped up in what combo of unis we are wearing or who is broadcasting the games or who walks out of the tunnel first.......just win. If the players like the all whites, then its their call. If it gives them the edge, then its their call.

The attitude that lets the inmates run the asylum to eliminate the scarlet pants is the same attitude that can't figure out why NU is dead last in penalties. Sometimes you just have to tell kids, this is the way it is, live with it.

I will never understand why people care about this stuff. I could not care less whether we wear red pants or white pants as long as we win.

Red and White are not school colors. Learn your tradition. Waiting on the link

Get a paper... And what does it matter if they say red instead of scarlet or white for cream which we haven't worn anyway it's the same thing....

The song says "We'll all stick togeather in all kinds of weather at dear old Nebraska U".
Scarlet is a shade of red and cream is a shade of white...

Of course your color blind and Ask all the fans why they chant GO BIG RED and not Go Big Scarlet which actually means the same thing.

No baby, white pants are clean as Skeeter's peter.
You just don't understand the new style.

It's about winning tradition, you identify Nebraska wearing red pants for away games we look like Nebraska instead of looking like a half a dozen other teams as for style save it for the alternative one game a year we have.

Does anybody remember some study several years ago that looked at uniform colors compared to winning percentage and found certain colors won more often than others, the best of those being red? Yes, I'm aware that the stats probably don't mean sh@t but why risk it.Cool

Scarlet...I agree. I have a feeling that in the next few years we will see big uniform changes. However, I have to be honest. It seems weird to bring up this issue when you have that vomitrocious helmet as your sig pic.

Figured someone would use the original helmet for their sic pic thought this helmet would be cool for design for a alternative game and reminded me of the helmets we wore before Jennings last year when he changed our helmets to white ones.
Better than the ones we have used in past alternative games...

By the way where is your sic pic?

If asked what color would I prefer, I would say scarlet. But Its not my call and im not gonna lose sleep over it. If they want to wear white, it isn't a sign of anarchy, nor defeat.
