Only thing that worries me, watching all the players slipping on NCstate’s field tonight vs UNC could be an issue.

State did some slipping too...I also remember when UNC's field was really tore up and trashy..(especially during high school title games)....that being said as a State fan...they have spent millions upgrading facility....it's time to put in a state of the art field turf............................

I’ve watched a couple of HS title games in Raleigh, field conditions were always suspect. Shelby game a few years back I believe vs NE, was a little sloppy. While UNC was slipping everywhere likely because their cleats are designed for turf and spikes won’t long enough, they just got their *** beat. State wanted it more, deserved the win. Hope UNC cleans house.

As for the game on Friday vs NE, hope it’s as good as advertised. Goob, James, all NE fans coming to DH Stadium, hope yall travel safe. Enjoy the game.

P.S. Goob, we have a new sound system since you last came. It’s probably not the caliber as the one y’all have, but it can get pretty loud. Our PA has even got a few “turn it down” from the Clinton faithful. If we can only keep him from playing Christmas music between plays we’ll be okay lol.

Field turf at a agricultural school with turf experts? I think not. It’s other events (concerts, ice hockey, etc) other than football that changes the turf, but I don’t ever envision them putting artificial turf at NC State

Love my Wolfpack, but our "turf experts" at State haven't necessarily translated that to a quality football field, just like our esteemed landscaping, design & architecture schools haven't resulted in an overall-attractive campus.
Off-topic to this thread, but was good to see the "blue-collar" approach at NCSU once-again hold court over the blue-bloods for the next 365 days.

Like I said, they use that field for multiple purposes other than football. They do indeed have turf experts at NC State, but if you’re going to use it for other purposes than football it’s not a football field any longer. Like the PNC, there’s ice under that court so there can be moisture in the court at times, unlike the Dean Dome, that’s a basketball only court designed underneath just for basketball. You can have a concer but no hockey, no monster trucks etc. at Carter Finley if the commitetted that field for football only they’d have the finest turf money could buy
Did you see what the had to do to that place for that outdoor hockey game?
