All things considered he's done ok. Hasn't played competitively in two years and then has to show up against the hardest league outside of the NBA right now. That's not an easy ask.

He just got engaged. If his fiancee doesn't live nearby I could see him transferring.

I have several friends who have experienced the regimen of a Mormon mission. It's a daylight to dark marathon ... "exhausting". To do it overseas is likely even more daunting. Nowadays, it is refreshing to see a young person so dedicated to a cause without any expectation of financial reward.
I hope he breaks out soon. He has the tools to be a good player. We need him now.

Ok, so now that the game thread you alluded to should be slowing(the same one you came here to respond during I may add). Just to clarify further, your stance is practicing something (dribbling in Chandlers case) while not being able to play actual basketball for two years would have been completely useless. Just a complete waste of time? I’m not going to enter into a pissing contest because you can’t argue with nonsense. Do you honestly believe what you typed and can say practicing over and over something you are not great at will not make you better? Honest question, you been around the game much? I think the most he could do was just go out and shoot. I don't imagine he was allowed to be on any team that would take away from mission work.
Something he and his family and the coaches will definitely have to discuss. I THINK he may be much improved as a sophomore, but he really needs to start stepping up.
This is so accurate. My biggest gripe isn’t Chandler. To be this bad after not having played in two yrs is COMPLETELY understandable. What isn’t completely understandable is Popes continuing to give him time. Brad gets roasted on here for his “Earned Not Given” tat, as he should. Every effing time Pope puts Chandler in, that phrase goes through my mind. It’s so frustrating. The 5 mins he played last night cost that game.
Not going to debate Chandler's playing time, but that last sentence is about as ignorant a take as you'll see on this board unless you only watched that 5 minutes.
He played 5 mins. Go back and find the score when he entered and the score when he left. And he was directly responsible for 2-3 lost possessions. Just because he wasn’t out there to shut the bed with the other guys in the last 5 mins doesn’t matter. Texas went on a run, in large part, because he wasn’t on the court. And it happens damned near every single time he steps on the court.
