Chanting and Signs For Saturday

We have the admin right where we want them. They are scared and in a corner because the media started asking questions about their boneheaded behavior and continued refusal to end the Flood error.

Now we need to put on the final levels of pressure. If we get blown out as predicted Saturday, the national embarrassment of having chants and signs shown on a national broadcast and tweeted ad nauseum may be enough to get Silent Bob, who only understands there are issues in AD when the national media wants to chat with him, to drop the charade and consent to a move.

Might there be best a time to coordinate a "Flood Must Go" chant?

Also, what are stadium policies on signs? Are they allowed to confiscate signs if they say Fire Flood? Perhaps we can come up with creative ways around them?:

Let's continue to come together as fans until our final goal is achieved. Whether or not you agree with goals at Mizzou, it showed the power of action and good use of national media- which RU under Barchi has shown, that is the only way it listens.

They only allow signs honoring the team or university. They can't stop you from chanting, booing or yelling however.

You can probably display the banners or signs OUTSIDE the stadium in the tailgating lots. They didn't stop the Pernetti protestors from marching with the big banner. But it wasn't allowed inside. RU reserves the right to deem what is 'appropriate' .

  • Gate Procedures - All spectators must present their own ticket. All items brought into the stadium will be inspected. High Point Solutions Stadium regulations prohibit outside food and beverages, bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages, coolers, umbrellas, noisemaking devices, balloons, laser pointers, pets (with the exception of guide dogs), balls, weapons, sticks/poles, containers, fireworks, and any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate from being brought into the facility. By use of your ticket, you consent to a reasonable search for prohibited items. Ticket stubs are not valid for re-entry.

Is there a written policy on this?

If that is it, there are ways around it.

You do not have the administration right where you want them and they are in no way backed into a corner. They also couldn't give a **** about your proposed childish chanting, booing or clever signs. It's a football game treat it that way. How the hell can you compare this to Mizzou. What's next in your mind civil disobedience? With all due respect stay home chill out and maybe seek some professional help. This isn't the 60's put the pipe away.

I will repost from the other thread:

You guys need to seriously reconsider doing any of the things being discussed in this thread. Huge signs, organized chanting, or a freaking plane are absolutely the wrong way to go about voicing our displeasure and will be very detrimental.

I donated $100 in the first hour that the GoFundMe was up (when it was real money and not at all clear everybody would be getting refunds). I want Flood gone after this season. But I don't need him to be gone if they somehow miraculously win the last three games and then win a bowl game. It aint going to happen, but I am willing to sit on my hands for one more game and let the players help decide the fate of their coaches.

Now, this whole investigation and report thing is a big wildcard - if the admin is determined to throw more negative stuff out in the media by releasing a report that casts a negative light on the coaching staff, then they will be forced to fire him at that point. And if all that happens, then I would have to think it was their intent to get rid of him when they pushed for the report in the first place.

But leaving that possibility aside, I think the huge explosion of attention the GoFundMe caused, and more importantly, the LOUD and CLEAR message that will be coming from the fanbase and major donors if the rest of the season goes as I expect it to (badly) I believe will be enough for a change to be made. If it isn't, then it will be apparent they are simply bound and determined not to spend any money. But when it comes down to it, they would be losing a ton of money and pushing away tons of long time supporters. Faced with that reality I think they will make the right decision.

With all that said, again, there do not need to be an organized efforts to embarrass the school, coachesm players or frankly the fans who are there to have a good time. We all know there will be plenty of booing if the game is going poorly. That and the empty seats will be spectacle enough. Seriously, think before you do something stupid.

Signs are premature, IMO. Need to give Flood an opportunity to show us something. Let Things will happen naturally. Chanting should only be done if we fall behind by 21+. By then, Everybody knows what's up.

When you have an idiot ( NotInRHouse ) posting what HE thinks should occur saturday by our fans ( at a game we can win) then you understand why we never will be a top program regardless of who is the head coach... even if we all agree Flood is not the answer you don't embarrass his players by doing chants and signs....I'm sure they'll be plenty of idiots in the stands...

Sure let's not support the players after all they are playing a Game...can't believe this board

Make up signs that say Please lose

Unreal
Is there a player named Flood on the team?

I'm supporting the players by giving them the opportunity to be coached up to their ability. I'm giving them the opportunity to play based on their comparable merit, not by some hard headed Peter Principle beneficiary.

You douchebags with 10-15 years invested have been through nada here and understand this....you aren't helping these players by causing incidents in the stands... mark my words ...there will be incidents after some of our poster boys get lit at the tailgates...frat boys never grow up...no matter what though Flood is here through the final game...after that the gloves come off.

Lmao. Isn't the 3:30 start close to your bedtime? I doubt you'll be there.
I can't wait to yell at Flood when he marches into the field during warm-ups.
The beauty? He's going to hear every word I say.

Yes they can. They can kick you out of the stadium for this. They'll likely kick out anyone that is chanting or displaying signs about removing Flood. They can't touch an airplane flyover however.

"BEAT VISITORS" was the best sign ever. And probably the only politically correct sign they will allow you to hang. This is there policy, they won't even let you put the visitor's name on it. Due to fear it might offend someone. Welcome to PCU

NIRH, you're not going far enough. Why don't you organize and begin a movement to chain yourselves to the front entrance, effectively blocking the entrance. It's time for more dramatic action, and I believe this is it. Dress appropriately, get the proper signs, and lock yourself down to the turnstyles. I'm sure if you lead the way, all of the people who contributed to the gofundme site will join you. In fact, why don't you go on that thread and declare your intentions for taking this up to the next level?

OK bro. You and the others who were all pro Fraud brought us 6 arrests, academic scandal, and an on the field unmitigated disaster.

My side called it on Rossi and McDaniels when they were foolishly promoted.

We called the character issues with the recruits before the arrests.

We called Fraud the failure he was from the Houston game.

And here we sit, school reputation in shatters, because Braindead Bob and cuckhold Jules listened to you.

It is over. Buh bye. We are taking the school back for those that didn't just fall in line when fed these crocks and returning it to dignity. It's going to take harsh methods but that is all the brain trust at the top gets.

Did you call character issues on Peele, Tejay, and the Stephenson brothers? They were recruited by GS.

Let's pretend Julie is the best AD in the land. She has felt no need to respond in anyway, except to spit on donations? Oh right, she didn't actually respond, it was some anonymous link on the school website.

Tell me, what did JH do that is embuing confidence because I must have missed it. She has sat on her hands as Rome burned.

I stuck by her from the beginning until she decided not to even reach out to the donors from the GoFundMe. One of the biggest donors promised a 5k donation, when last time she only needed a little more to get Mullen here, and not a peep from her?

She is either clueless or a pawn of the BOG/Barchi in which case I have no idea why anyone would stay here and destroy their career.

Do not give me about the end of the season, Maryland fired Edsall and the team got better. If Flood were canned there is reason to believe Rettig could start and maybe we make a bowl and have a nice story.

The fans are angry because we see no proof of change nor history of making the right call.

Every major hire since Schiano has been a disaster. Yet we should have faith?

I am pleading with you to not do anything in haste like yelling at the coach in warm-ups. If you are an inside guy like you say, you know very well there could be recruits there that would hurt our chances regardless of who the next coach is.

Also, we will all cheer for the players. It's not their fault.

If they want to play in the NFL, and at every other p5 school, there is no sunshine brigade who just shows up to get a few hours away from wifey and watch an implosion on the field. It is a business and coaches and ADs and Presidents get punished for not taking it seriously.

Some of our fans think Flood cannot only lose games, but commit fraud and have 6 arrests and that fans should applaud him like they were North Koreans watching Kim Jong Un pass. These "fans" are the problem.

If they don't care about the coach what does it matter? We all know the reality with Flood. You think James Franklin doesn't get yelled at? You think the Michigan punter walks campus getting hugs at every turn?

This ain't intramurals....
