I don't think the Raiders will be moving. STL also is really pushing for a stadium renovation. I don't see STL moving either because of that. Not sure about the Raiders, but my money is on the Chargers to LA because of the fact that the last time I checked Qualcomm Stadium was one of the worst NFL stadiums, and I don't think they were planning on renovating it. Gotta keep up with the rest of the league. Just speculation, no facts. But I think it's gonna be SD.

Not a Rams fan but I hope for the city of St Louis that they don't lose their team. If I had to guess it will be Saint Diago.

I heard that two teams could reside in the same stadium in L.A. I really don't want my Raiders in Los Angeles again, but Oakland will have a hard time financing anything. I hate these rich owners holding municipalities hostage. As much money as the NFL makes them they should pay for their own damn facilities, IMO.

Rams(NFC) and Chargers (AFC) share a stadium ala NY Giants(NFC)/Jets(AFC). Raiders negotiate with 49ers for same arrangement at Levi Stadium and when that fails, they move to San Antonio. St Louis get the Jaguars within a couple of years.

The Chargers were acting like that was the last game in San Diego yesterday - is the plan to play in the LA Coliseum or Rose Bowl until the new stadium is built? The interesting thing is the stadium deal for the Chargers is really structured to need to 2 teams to make it work (Raiders). While the Rams are working on a deal in St Louis as well as their own stadium in LA.
Based on all that smoke and comments coming from the owners - I think the chances that St Louis moves are small. They won't move into a 2nd new stadium in LA if the Chargers (and Raiders) are building a new stadium. Frankly I think the owners would prefer to keep Oakland and San Diego in their current locations and get new stadiums there - but neither community or ownership is willing to make that happen. So they are pining for a sweetheart deal in LA. The owners want to move the Rams back to LA - but St Louis is putting a good enough deal on the table - it is very unlikely that will happen. So....to get the new stadium the Chargers and Raiders need - the build one stadium and move both teams. The problem is both teams are in the AFC West......that seems problematic compared to what the Jets and Giants are able to do in NJ.

I agree they need to move Jacksonville - just did not work there. Your idea to move OAK to Levi and have Rams/Chargers share a stadium makes sense - but all the noise has been one new stadium with Chargers/Raiders - Rams were working on their own LA stadium (no way they build both).

As a Charger fan and living in San Diego County I can say that the City is trying to get a new stadium built for them but the Chargers have basically walked away from any talks with the City. So the correct statement is the Chargers ownership is not willing to stay as opposed to the City not willing to build. Now the City is expecting the Chargers Ownership to put up some of the funds (like 20 to 25%) and that is probably one of the sticking points as well as the Stanos's see a larger market and think they will reap more rewards up there. What they aren't considering is if the Raiders move back to L.A. with them, it will be a Raider town with the Chargers running a distant 2nd. fiddle. Much like the Chippers do with the Lakers.

Why the NFL ever put a team in Jacksonville instead of L.A. is beyond me.

Jags (and Raiders) actually have a better team shaping up than the Bolts. The front office in SD is a wreck.

Sounds like the Carson stadium is supposed to be on an old landfill - might be a few EPA issues to get through before that gets approved...and it is California - getting any major construction project done with public $$$ is going to be a nightmare.

Work on the Inglewood stadium site is already started - they are going to build it even if the Rams don't move.....supposedly.

This is why I agreed that the Charger front office is a mess. Why are they burning their bridge with San Diego even if they plan is to move to L.A. if possible? There is no stadium for them to play in up there that is any better than Qualcomm. The smart thing would've been to continue to negotiate with S.D. while still pursuing their L.A. options.

Other things they're screwing up on are:

1. The 2nd fiddle thing I stated above.
2. They are under the assumption that their San Diego fans will still be Charger fans after they stab them in the back and move to L.A. This is not the case.
3. They will be starting out with virtually zero fans if they make this move. Why would they want to start to build their brand from scratch when they have a very loyal fan base already? And in a market that will be predominately fans of another team to boot!.

All head scratchers for sure.
