Seriously, your entire body has to be beyond the line of scrimmage for it to be an illegal pass. Lee's entire body is still BEHIND the line of scrimmage when he releases the ball. Veazey did a nice breakdown here. And Veazey broke down the very video that Bloom says he assumes would be the only video available for review. It's not even close. How you can defend that call is beyond me.

I'm not sure what the qualifications were for the SEC Football Coordinator of Officiating, but since Gerald Boudreaux is head of Men's basketball, they can't be too rigorous. Please view the following picture and explain exactly where the "lack of evidence" is. I understand that football is a "game of inches" but this pass was legal by at least 4 feet (that's 48 inches). without a doubt. At any rate, we'll never know if that call would have made a difference in the final score. I also remember Jackie saying that you always need to be good enough to beat the guys in the striped shirts..in other words, never allow them to make the difference in the final score.

if he thinks there isn't clear evidence on the video that the call was incorrect. As has been stated here over and over, the rules states that the QB's ENTIRE body must be over the LOS for it to be an illegal forward pass. This is simply a "hey its MSU who got screwed so we don't care" attitude. If this had been Alabama, Florida or some other SEC school you would have seen reprimands, suspensions and apologies. Does Charles Bloom really take us for idiots just because we are from Mississippi? That's the only way that I can see him being able to make the statement he made with a straight face.

He's a good guy. It's not him saying there wasn't clear evidence, it was the coordinator of officials. Some of you need to work on your reading comprehension - how else can you expect to get a 24 on the reading portion of the ACT? No reason to call Charles names.

He VERY CLEARLY did not cross the line. And considering we would have been on the four yard line, they couldn't stop us from running, and we lost by seven I would say it probably had a outcome on the game. Granted, there was a lot that could have happened after that but either way it would have made a difference.
