If it was a joke than stick to it, but if you did it face up so we can move on. Too bad in this country you are guilty until innocent.

This is the dumbest **** ever, not your post, the uproar over some 18 year old guys going to a titty bar. I would question these guys if they didn't go to the titty bar.

Interesting. Paul Jones has maintained that it was joke from the the very beginning.

and Lyon Brown. What a worthless little ****. "Yeah man, I'm to thank for your favorite part."

Yeah. Sure. It was a joke alright. Way to blatantly lie about it now, guys.

Lyon Brown's goofy *** responding to everyone of their posts pretty much tells me that it wanst a joke, and Lyon Brown is so hard up to feel cool that he is chasing around high school seniors on facebook so everyone will know he got to hang out with them. $$%%**$ tool

hosting a party at your fraternity house for a recruiting weekend might be cool to you right now as a freshmen, but you're gonna look back and say, "That recruit wasn't trying to be new best friend, he was trying to bang my girlfriend." You'll look back and realize you should have spent your night doing something else. You're not that cool kid.

Lyon Brown is a dumbass kid. Richie Jones and Yancy on the other hand....

Every High School Athlete in the state of Mississippi now can see that the Ole Miss crowd will do anything to denigrate State. They will even publish your Facebook profile in an attempt to destroy your name in the national media (Jameon Lewis's picture is on Huffinton Post). If they will do it to these 3 18 year old kids they will do it to you. Imagine waking up to find yourself in a defamatory story all over the internet. They will try to kill your chances of playing the sport you love at the University of your choosing just to sell a few more subscriptions to their 'message board'. To them you are nothing but a commodity, but that's the Ole Miss way.

You're on a 17ing internet message board. Yeah, people that try to be recruits/athletes friends probably aren't the coolest kids on campus, but again, you're on a 17ing internet message board talking about a guy that apparently at least leaves his house enough to go to a strip club. I wish the kid hadn't been (wasn't?) 17ing stupid, but are we really going to trash a kid b/c he thought it was cool to hang out with recruits (the same ones 75% of this board apparently jerk off to) and thought it was cool to go to a strip club (which I hope 100% of this board thinks it's cool to do).

Even if I was, I wouldn't take any recruits out. If a recruit wants to come to State, great for him. I'm not going waste my time taking them out. I have better things to do than cater to some 18 year old kids.

18 year old kid + in college + not doing anything illegal + not doing anything against the rules for him = the kid sucks
Out of college + internet message board + saying 18 year old kid sucks = cool?

I'm just saying I don't understand why anybody would be that upset with the guy. Yeah, it was clearly stupid to post something on facebook, but the guy probably didn't realize how many losers over 30 years old would spend time internet stalking kids that are just doing what most guys in college occasionally do. Hopefully he's learned his lesson, but I wouldn't get too mad at a guy for not realizing how ****** people really are. And I hope the people (especially the quazi journalists) that thought it was reasonable to post his name and face all over the internet get what's coming to them.

and then posting about it on their Facebook pages. Also, it was a student from Ole Miss that saved an image of the guy's Facebook page, not some 30+ year old internet stalker.

whether college kids went to a strip club and how it might affect their worship of a game played by 18-22 year olds = major douche.

That's my point. I think both fanbases have segments that spend way too much time worrying about trying to bring down the other. Neither fanbase is at the Auburn-Alabama level, but we have some that care way too much about that ****, and yes it does go both ways. To act like it doesn't is just sticking your head in the sand.

I could care less that the recruits went to a strip club. Who hasn't been to a strip club? But some freshman kid bragging about it on different recruits' Facebook pages? Big time tool. Plain and simple. You're not going to change anyone's opinion of your friend so just close your laptop and go get started planning next weekend's recruiting party.

I'm just pointing out how sad it is for grown men to get worked up enough over the issue to badmouth some kid they don't even know. And it's particularly funny to me that you assume that anybody who thinks a college kid that does something stupid doesn't need message board warriors talking about him being a tool must still be in college.

Also, while I really can't fathom why it's so 17ing hard for people to understand that what they put on face book is public information, based on the people I've interviewed, the majority of kids just don't get it, which is why you see stupid **** like this. And since I really don't think this generation is significantly more stupid than previous generations, I'm guessing a lot of the people bashing this guy would have been just as stupid on facebook had it been around before.

No one is arguing the fact that stalking 18 year old boys is sad. This isn't Scout. The issue at hand, is that said friend of yours blew his own wad on this whole situation that could have simply been an urban legend. No one should be bothered by your friend taking the recruits to the pony, even if he bought one of em a blow job. If you ask me, that's a hell of a welcome package for a dude that can't even buy a beer. But there are some things best left unsaid, at least for a little while. That is all. It's not an issue of violations or recruiting. It's just an issue of common sense.

Humiliation is a relatively harmless cure for naivety.

something along the lines of "yeah I'm glad you had fun this weekend" instead of "you can thank me for your favorite part." I'm glad that kids go out of their way to help recruits have a good time and make a lasting impression. Unfortunately, bragging about it on facebook so that all your friends will see that you went to the club with some recruits is not the smartest move. This would not get near the attention that it has garnered had he not tried to imply that he paid for the trip.</p>

is the fact that the recruits involved were all players that are died in the wool maroon already.

Your students need to do a better job of being able to identify the guys that are on the fence and make sure those are the ones they purchase lap dances for, not the ones that are coming anyway. No need to spend the $40 on a kid who isn't considering anyone else anyway.

Never said the kid wasn't stupid for posting that. And yes it's inevitable that once it's out there, some losers are going to spend all their time talking about it. I was just pointing out (1) that while it's inevitable that there will be some losers that run with it once it's out, it's still regrettable that people feel the need to post the kid's name and picture when talking about it and (2) that it was pretty ironic that people spending significant times on message boards felt the need to call the kid a douche b/c he was dumb enough to post something he shouldn't have on the internet (if you're still not getting it, people outside of the interwebs chat rooms, if they knew nothing else, people would generally presume that an 18 year old kid that thought it was a good idea to talk about strip clubs on face book < grown men spending significant time on message boards talking about the activities of 18 to 22 year olds as far as douchiness goes.)
