Talty retweeted this last night from the player. There were 5 replies to the kid from Rebel students or boosters telling him to come be a Rebel. Probably more now.

I thought boosters can't have contact with recruits...

..I realize Ole Miss has carte blanche to do as they please when it comes to recruiting, but you would think they would at least pretend to give a crap about NCAA rules.

I hear Freeze has paid off the Postal Workers to get them to discard any mail that doesn't say Ole Miss going to a croot's house.*

The fine print in beav's contract says he gets $100 for every recruiting letter he sends out ........................

and a coupon good toward routine dental care at the oxford dentist of his choice.

That's actually pretty lazy. Anyone can have their staff send out 50 letters a day. How many times did Beav show his face though? Did he also send him 50 tweets, 50 emails, and 50 Facebook messages? If I was a player, I would think that is desperate and embarrassing.

Seriously though wtf can be said in 50 different envelopes that can't be said in just one? That would turn me off to a program not make me want to attend it. Maybe they have a crisp $50 bill in each one?

What can you possibly say in that many letters in one day? Even if every eligible recruiter for Ole Miss was required to send a letter to him, are there even that many eligible recruiters?

Better yet, do you think this kid opened and read every one of those letters? Unless there is a c note in all of em, I'd bet they get put in a shoe box somewhere unopened

I wonder how many times he skyped him and had the staff chant his name on video?

thanks rabboni - the rebels have offered some many guys around the country that it gets a little confusing .... I wonder if the beav is aware of that

Don't be silly! Sending currency through the mail is HIGHLY discouraged by the US postal service.

That's ridiculous. And not because it's coming from Mississippi.

The Rebel is right, a lot of schools do this. I'm surprised the NCAA hasn't made a rule limiting how much mail you can send a recruit.
