Is it just me or is the size of their delicious sandwich getting smaller?
My youngest daughter said this a couple weeks ago.Is it just me or is the size of their delicious sandwich getting smaller?
Yup, a way to cover inflation. Just reduce the size and keep the price the same. A lot of things are noticably smaller than they use to be. Haven't been to Chick fil a in a while, so I can't say. But their service is off the charts for a fast food establishment.Probably. Often during tough times companies reduce size rather than raise prices. I’ve seen it happen with tuna, Cadbury eggs, pizza rolls and a multitude of stuff.

Define “effected.” I think fast food may be more of an option for people during inflation times or people go to the Mexican joint or Ryan’s instead of the higher priced restaurants. Even still, the margins shrink for everyone until the prices go up. And, when the prices go up …If there is one company that hasn't been effected by the rise in inflation, it would have to be Chic-fli-A. No matter what time of day I go by one, they are out to the road at the drive thru and the parking lot is full.

Inflation is only part of the story. Literally weather patterns have screwed up seafood harvesting. Rising temps in the Gulf of Mexico supposedly has killed off seafood that otherwise would have been harvested and frozen. Something like 10 million pounds short from normal. Ergo, price goes up, regardless of inflation or not.
source: buddy runs a restaurant and he’s always talking about this stuff
Haha. I have never been to a Chick fil A and my wife likes them. I always tell her I have a huge craving for them on Sundays. It sucks if you ask me. I tried to get a chicken sammich at their drive thru the last couple Sundays. Couldn’t get anyone to take my order. I drive over to Wendy’s and got waited on right away.

15 cars deep isn’t too bad - that’s like a 5 minute waitSorry but I just don’t see the mass appeal of Chick Fil A. Their food is ok, but not worth waiting 15 cars deep in the drive through.

The spicy chikin sammidge is really good (2nd only to Popeye's) and the sweet tea is always spot on, but the rest of their stuff is pretty meh. I've tried the chikin biscuit a couple of times, but the biscuit dough was way underdone and I wound up just eating the chikin off of them.Sorry but I just don’t see the mass appeal of Chick Fil A. I wish our Chick Fil A was only 15 cars deep. It feels like half of their staff is in the parking lot taking pre orders. I live in a small town and they have 3 x the business other fast food restaurants have.15 cars deep isn’t too bad - that’s like a 5 minute wait
yup their rewards deal is sweetGet the app and order before hand. Most have curbside now…plus you earn free food
Have you ever watched a fast food commercial and see how they make them ohh so big?Could it be age and perspective?
My dad is convinced that McDonald's has shrunk it's burgers over the years, but this is not the truth. Since McDonald's began it was always a very small burger. Burger King actually made it's fame off of poking fun at McDonald's and boasting a "an entire meal in a burger" with the Whopper. It wasn't until 1971 when McDonald's came out with the quarter pounder (their bigger burger)......and then used the bigger bun and pattie from the quarter pounder to make a big version of the Big Mac......but this didn't last long. The McDonald's corporation has said time and time again that the size of their burgers hasn't changed at all. (except that the quarter pound pattie has actually increased a few ounces to offset the shrinkage during the cooking process)
.....But my dad still is convinced that it's a much smaller product.
Sure. It’s marketing. I can zoom in on a pinhead and make it look huge.Have you ever watched a fast food commercial and see how they make them ohh so big?
But then he wouldn't have anything to complain about!or just do a mobile order and not have to deal with that aspect at all
I'm still mad that the steak egg and cheese bagel was taken off the menu. So there is that. But then he wouldn't have anything to complain about!
