I've had it twice. Once on an island in a bay on the Pacific side of the Baja. It was caught that morning and cooked in camp. It was fantastic. Went to a nice place in San Diego on the way home. Saw sea bass on the menu and of course ordered it. It was barely edible.
Interesting that they gave them sunglasses at the top. Didn't fully realize that they had been without natural light for 69 days.UpTheMiddlex3Punt said:

Sometimes at Fresh Market in Madison. I got it often in Dallas...gourmet grocery stores and stuff.
The meat is pretty darn meaty for fish. You can cook it straight on the grill like a steak. Lemmie tell ya, grilled like a steak - Chilean sea bass is mighty fine stuff.

it's like they think it is a reality show. i keep waiting for one of them to say "And after 69 days, Manuel was voted out of the mine and will no longer be in the running for the 1 million dollars"
/also, can you imagine how bad it had to smell down there to the rescuers they sent down? the trapped guys were definitely used to the smell. 69 days of funk fermenting in a 90 degree hole has to be horrendous.

And they asked for razors, shoe polish, and shampoo to be sent down beforehand so they could come out looking like the pimps they are.
One of them even ran a 10K a day in the tunnels. For being half a mile into hell it sounds like they had a pretty decent setup going once the appropriate food and morale-boosting items were sent down to them. Here's hoping some Right Guard accompanied the Elvis CDs that one guy requested (and received).
