Both likely to be available for next season. Which would you choose if you either would come to RU.

No matter what the Philly media or fans want, Kelly is not likely to be available next year.
  1. He's not likely to be fired, Jeffrie Lurie the Eagles owner likes him and kept his last coach for 13 years.
  2. He's not likely to leave. He has all the power in an NFL front office, very few coaches get that.
  3. If he leaves, he's not likely to go back to college, he has said that he doesn't like meeting with boosters and playing the recruiting game.

Putting Schiano in the same league as Kelly is like saying the late Lord Laurence Olivier's performance of Hamlet was comparable to your Uncle Fred's performance of Hamlet at the Cranford Community Theater.

Get a $15 million dollar donation and maybe we could then afford Kelly

I can see Chip Kelly pulling a Steve Spurrier or a Lou Holtz and go back to college, but it certainly wouldn't be RU unless his ego is so big that he wants to show he can win big anywhere.

Difference is that Chip Kelly would never coach here. Schiano might (even if it's a slim chance).

Might as well ask Bill Belichick vs. Greg Schiano.

Chip Kelly is in a completely different league. I give him a B in recruiting,
an A as a game day coach
A++ as a program builder

If given a fair chance Kelly can and will win several Championships.

Wrong. Kelly has a brilliant mind. Schiano is a follower and copied everything from Schnellinberger to Butch Davis. Kelly is an original.

Kelly is smart...but there's like 60 guys running an offense that Rich Rod brought to the fore. In the end though none of those "high scoring but no defense" teams wins the NC. They run wild all season and then the Alabamas and OSUs swat them down like gnats.

Oregon Ducks' offense, many others, influenced by Rich Rodriguez's schemes

So if Chip Kelley was being truthful about not wanting to deal with recruiting or boosters then GS might actually be the better college coach going forward. This Chip Kelley might have changed for the worse since Oregon... and maybe his success at Oregon had a lot to do with Nike's support of the program.
