Although I hate that its Ole Miss, its really something for the state of MS to be getting the #1 and #2 players in the country.

That is unreal that we are most likely signing the #2 player in the country. But what's even more unreal is the fact he was unknown this time last year and unranked on 247.

Can you guys recall a player skyrocketing up the charts like this ever before?

I'm sure that plenty of players have had great senior seasons or camps that have resulted in a healthy bump before, but I can't remember anyone going from a virtual unknown to one of the top players in the country in a matter of a few months. While I'm sure the press is justified, it's almost like some of the recruiting services are so embarrassed that they missed him that they may be going a little overboard. Hopefully not, and this kid really is that damn good.

Has their been any comparisons done between Jones and Nkemdiche? I know Jones is more raw but that's about it. #1 and #2? No way, we're going to have to settle this.

What I've seen is that Nk is the better player entering college, but Jones has a higher ceiling because he's so raw.

Keemdeechee is more of a power rush guy and Jones is more of a speed rush type..

At least that's how it looked watching them in the UA all star game. Robert K has some serious shove to his game where Jones can beat you to the edge and his arms keep the lineman from locking him up. My take.

Both are the real deal.

When Rivals do their next up grade they will up grade Jones as well. I think some where around January 20th or so.

We could have a bama type dl in a few years if our younger guys develope well. Jones, quay who was the #1 dt on one of the sites, James who was top 10 I believe, and a combo of smith/brown/jefferson

Kimdeechy is going to end up at DT...he will likely be 300 pounds by August. He is a wider body than Jones. He has outstanding ability and he will be tough to handle without a doubt.

Jones has that wingspan you look for and has really good feet. Still raw, but once he gets some real strength in his shoulders, will be a nightmare for OT's.

Wasn't Dontae Walker no 1 in the country? or just no 1 RB?

I was in college at the time, and was a rookie star gazer in recruiting....seems I remember him either being no 1 recruit or no 1 RB......nonetheless, the evaluations are better now....

Really glad that Wilson is gone. Maybe some actual DL technique can be taught now.

Do you really think RN ends up at OM with all the investigations it will cause? I think he ends up at GA or Bama and Treadwell is OK bound. I just don't see RN's family wanting to go through all that.

Considering RN list the Bears and LSU as his only 2 schools left on his list how the Hell does he end up at Bama or UGA? When has UGA ever even been mentioned by anybody for him?

I believe he started out as the #1 RB and #1 recruit in the country.

I believe just before his senior season he fell in the rankings to around #10 in the country. However I believe he was still the #1 RB when we signed him.

and dontae was a badass until he ate himself out of football. he had all the physical tools and for awhile he managed to stay in shape, but then he let the hype get to his head and got lazy and overweight. it's sometimes hard to tell what's in a guy's head and how they will change from 17 to 22. some guys are gym rats in HS and only care about football and seem to have it all, then get to college and suddenly don't have parental supervision, have hot chicks everywhere, booze, no bed time, etc. and suddenly working out and football don't seem all that important. and some guys are the reverse. it's just impossible to know for certain how a guy's brain changes during those developmental years.

Makes you wonder if RN will give LSU a stronger look because they have so many leaving for the draft and opening up immediate playing time at a much more prestigious school for football.

RN signs with LSU, big brother Denzel transfers to LSU = shot in the nuts to the Black Bear faithful. i'm rootin for Miles to pull this one out.

Denzel would lose a year of eligibility if he transferred. I'll be very surprised if they're not both wearing Red and Blue this fall.

Strong Opposition

All signs point to OM getting NK, Treadwell, and Daniels.

Chances they sign and hard competition:

Treadwell - 75% OU But its hard to imagine a WR turning down a perennial league champion in a pass first offense.
Kimdeechee - 50% LSU Brother or not, TSUN has no track record. He can see LSU's track record right now. I expect a late crash the party from Bama.
Daniels - 30% UF Fresh on his mind. It will be an uphill battle for either Miss. team.

I've posted this before, but I dont see any way Daniels and RN both sign. OM already have young 5 star de's in CJ and Ward starting for them then add Daniels and RN and someones feeling are gonna get hurt over pt. These are all guys who expect to get the majority of the snaps at any school they sign with, too many bodies, too little pt

I've been telling y'all since about October that Bama is not in the picture, and has not been in the picture since about April or May. No idea why, but y'all refuse to listen, even when he lists only Ole Miss and LSU as his finalists and was actively recruiting for Ole Miss at the Under Armor game.

I think comparing the two, RK has greater speed (has played RB at times this year) but Jones is raw and country strong. They think once he gets in a real weight room, he might be an unstoppable beast.

I thought in the Egg Bowl it was glaring the difference in the techniques the OM DL used as compared to ours. Apparently the only move Wilson knew was the bull rush.

The two of us combined could EASILY end up with 6 of the top 34 players in the country -- and it's not unreasonable that we may end up with 7 in the top 40...

The days of "poor ole MSU and Ole Miss" are starting to appear to be in the rearview mirror. We're both recruiting in an entirely different stratosphere this year...

Folks around here are saying Nkemdiche will be a DT, and I'm inclined to believe that myself. Plus, C.J. will likely move back to LB once they get some depth at DE.

C.J won't be going back to LB unless we suddenly change to a 3-4. We have plenty of LBers and lose 2 DEs from the rotation this year. Cody Prewitt will move to LB before CJ.

You could see him at LB in some 4-3 sets next year, but that's about it. He's a DE in our base defense.

What happened here, Wictory Wed? Who could this "he" be?

He has also taken to recruiting players to Starkville. He’s been in the ear of Eupora wide receiver Derrick Jones, the lone Ole Miss commit, Charleston athlete Kameron Myers, one of the most impressive players of the week, and of course, South Panola safety Tony Conner.

You clearly don't understand the dynamics of recruiting. Alabama is not in the picture. We know that. But Alabama is casting a huge shadow over this whole situation. If Alabama has come after Chris Jones, who has been committed since he was 2-star recruit, do you think that they won't make a final push for Kimdeechee, who has been the number 1 recruit for ten months and not even committed at the moment? They won't do it now. But they'll wait until he's had his official visit and returns home.

And where does Mama Kimdeechee want little Bobby Boucher to go?

There is nothing that would take me there. What took me to Ole Miss was Denzel. I haven’t been to any other school. Honestly, if Denzel was not at Ole Miss, I wouldn’t have gone to Ole Miss. My No. 1 team is Alabama. That’s one school I truly love, Alabama. But I don’t have child in Alabama to take me to Alabama. But my son is in Mississippi at Ole Miss. That’s what took me to Mississippi. So I’m not going to travel all over the place just to talk to coaches. No, I won’t. I’m not being cocky or anything. It’s just not in my schedule. I just went to Ole Miss to visit with my son. I had a wonderful opportunity there to talk with the coaches and the academic people, and that’s it.” Why do you like Alabama? “Alabama has a good football team. And they’re solid. They have good academics. Right now, they are undefeated. And I’ve stayed in stayed in touch with their coach on Facebook. He is a good person. I like the school but again, I would prefer for Denzel and Robert to play together.

Funniest part of the Kimdeechee story is that he is STILL uncommitted. I mean, what a slap in the face of Ole Miss. It's like he's saying..."yea, I will probly end up at OM because of Denzel, but I ain't committing to them until I know for sure I can't talk Mama into letting me go to a good school to play, and just let Denzel do his thing at OM". I mean, ****, the guy has already committed and decommitted from Clemson, so he's not scared to commit. The longer he drags it out, the more he just looks like he doesn't want to pull the trigger on OM. And no OM fan can say that it wouldn't help them more if he would just go ahead and commit...he's holding out for his own reasons, not OM's.

He will still end up there, but it's pretty obvious that if Denzel wasn't there Ole Miss would get laughed at by this guy.

Except that he agreed to announce on ESPN on signing day. The recruits who need to know about where he will end up already know.

Maybe when he doesn't go on any official visits except Ole Miss you'll figure it out. Until then I'll enjoy watching you look like a complete dumbass.

Agree 100%......

I've said this since the beginning, and of course no Ole Miss fan would acknowledge it. From OBJECTIVE articles I've seen, such as AJC, Nkemdiche is really only interested in them for that one reason which of course Denzel. He hasn't even acted excited about Ole Miss in the least. He was much more excited about Clemson than Ole Miss. And for sure about his commitment, if he wanted to go build a power there he'd be committed and trying to get everyone else in the fold. I just don't buy the hat trick on Signing Day fluff. Ole Miss coaches would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have him publicly committed rather than talking under the table.

Unfortunately, I think mama wins out, and he begrudgingly signs in Oxford. And even him playing at 85% effort will be a damn good player for them, no matter if he wants to be there or not.

Blatant Rule 18 violation. And this is far from the first. Learn the rules and abide by them.

He’s been in the ear of Eupora wide receiver Derrick Jones, the lone Ole Miss commit, Charleston athlete Kameron Myers, one of the most impressive players of the week, and of course, South Panola safety Tony Conner.

How has that worked out so far? Derrick Jones isn't going anywhere and Conner still isn't considering Mississippi State seriously despite Mullen hiring Deshea Townsend.

You clearly don't understand the dynamics of recruiting.

You clearly do not understand the dynamics of his recruitment.

If Alabama has come after Chris Jones, who has been committed since he was 2-star recruit, do you think that they won't make a final push for Kimdeechee, who has been the number 1 recruit for ten months and not even committed at the moment?

They continue to recruit him, and it continues not to matter.

As for your last quote, that's nice of you to pick and choose your comments. I'll just refer to what she states multiple times:

I don’t want a case where they have games in two different states, and I will be running around like a rooster, or not go to one (game). Every parent would really want that. It’s my wish for it to happen, but I’m not going to put pressure on anybody.

I would like for them to play together. It is a wish that I have. But it’s our understanding that Robert can go to any school that he wants to go to. But I know that he wants to play with his brother, too.”

But I would really love for them to play together, as well as have the power of two — where two people come together and play as one.

If they play together, it would make more sense.

Can I expect you to come back and admit you were wrong on his recruitment on February 6th?

You missed the point, bubble boy......

...which, of course, was the fact that Kailo Moore was actively recruiting for MSU, then later flips to Ole Miss. It renders your point useless about Nkemdiche actively recruiting for Ole Miss. Got it, now? Do you need Rosetta Stone?

And you're not making anyone out to be a dumbass here. Nobody goes out on a limb and calls what an 18 year old recruit will do except you, and obviously the recruitniks who are making money off the process. Who cares if they are wrong, they'll just spin it away to the sheep such as yourself. They have saps like you eating out of their hand.

Stop trying to prove that Ole Miss is some sort of superior power, it just makes your school pride look shaky. You may very well get Nkemdiche and probably will, but it's because his brother is there, that's it. But who cares, you'll be getting a good player.

Go change the bedpans and take a break from recruiting, nurse boy.
