And, he never had to face double, triple (or quadruple) - teams on almost every single play like Robert did. (Soon to be confirmed by actual game film by RockstarFromMars)**</SPAN>
Nobody said it makes him a better player, but it helps our recruiting rankings which is never a bad thing. We always talk about where we rank among the teams in the top 25 in the country...does it magically make us a better team if we move from #11 to #10 in the country after a bye week? No..but it sheds a good light on our football program to be ranked in the top 10. Chris Jones being a 5 star will make our class rank higher, which will show kids that we are a school that top talent is wanting to play for.
Why be negative about us getting a 5 star player? It's not like we get em every year. Ole Miss uses it to their advantage, why can't we? Reminds me of the article Engie linked the other day...we should broadcast that he is a 5 star on every media outlet we can.
This came out of nowhere to get there. He got the 5th star because he is a better player. Being at the Miss and Alabama all-star game has opened a lot of eyes. No one seems to be able to block him and he is going up against the best Miss has in practice. He was under the radar and now that he is on the big stage people are taking notice. I’m guessing that Scout will follow with a 5[SUP]th[/SUP] star and rivals will give a 4[SUP]th[/SUP] star with in a week.<o></o>
