Nearly every play may have been hyperbole, but it was more often than it was not. And the half because he probably wasn't going to play the 2nd half.

But you're right, there's film out there so have a look.

RN took on 2 or 3 (or 4) blockers nearly every play this year. Stats don't always tell the story of an interior D-lineman. I don't think it was the fame.

As a off. coord., I can tell you that he was probably never blocked with four players. You need to get off the dang cough syrup. No coach will send four to block one. That is utter stupidity. I have schemed where there was a double on a good DL , and even coached for a third( usually a back in PB) to chip if he comes free, but four!? That goes against all reasoning. You do know that each side has 11 on the field, right? I can tell you what will happen to your QB or RB in your scenario - highlight worthy carnage

I never said it was a good strategy but I saw passing teams leave two chip blockers in the backfield a couple of times. They might not have been assigned to block him but he's the one they hit. As another poster said, they have another good DT on the team and their O-line was getting slaughtered.

So it was just the one game that you really saw anything like what you said, then? As I said, never will you have 4 blockers on one guy. And if there were two backs in protection, then it is highly doubtful that there were two OL assigned to him, that once again makes you at least two free coming into the backfield. Not wise for your offense. Leaving seven ( if there is no TE) in to protect, and leaving ony three clear makes no valid sense. Maybe once or twice a game, but otherwise, just ridiculous when passing. Now, I have BIGS sets where we load the backfield, and it would be possible for three to get him, but not four. Again, you show that either their entire schedule was full of coaches who were worth a dam, or you really don't know jack $h!? about football. I vote for the latter

West, maybe victory red will give you a "bitchslapped". That will validate it all. Just like arguing over a 17 year old immature kid and which one will be a better player for the next 4 years.

Both probably have top round talent....then we get dropped off at college without parents and allowed to do whatever we want at 18 years old.

Not everyone is a norwood or shackelford.

Poster named Troy McClure posted that in Div 1-A college football there were 19.83% black coaches. He divided 119/6 instead of 6/119 for the %.

Yeah...19.83% is what I got too. What's wrong with that?

I didn't say 4 every play. For all I know, a blocker got an assignment wrong. Focusing on the "or 4" part is missing the point that he was the focal point for the offense to stop.

I'm pretty sure that if Pernell McPhee were to suit up for a 6A Georgia high school football team tomorrow he'd never get more than 2 blockers.

Chris Jones' offer sheet isn't as impressive because he came out of no where in one season and was committed to a school before anyone else gave him a shot, and he's said "thanks but no thanks" ever since the likes of Ole Miss have been calling.

Comparing the two and using the amount of offers as a basis of who's better is probably the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Just like Ole Miss offering every Tom, Dick, and Harry at the beginning of the season, every Coach with a television has offered Nkgfujvdrjl. Ask a coach in Arizona (or anywhere) about a 4/5 star kid from Houston High School in Mississippi though... No.

Man, you'd believe the Devil himself if he supported Ole Miss spin and arguments.

So you don't think Chris jones ever got double or triple (or quadruple! - because yeah, 4 guys blocking 1 is a real thing lulz) teamed? Are MS coaches too stupid to watch film and figure out that the guy with 160 tackles, 4 million sacks, and 8 million tackles for loss might present a problem for their 210 lb whitebread LT with stone feet?

as for your other stupid question, Chris committed as soon as we offered, never visited anywhere else, and told anyone who would listen that he wanted to play for our state. He has, however, said himself that LSU, Bama, among others have been calling him lately. When he gets that 5th star, even more will come calling, but he knows where home is. Keep believing those are not the reasons that the 35th rated prospect in the country doesn't have more offers though. Oh, and I have a nephew in laws brother on Chris's team so I called the plays in 19.83% of his games.
