The way the schedule looks, barring any upsets, it seems like we'll be either Chik-fil-a or worse or Capital one or better. If we go 10-2 and there are no upsets anywhere else, we'll probably fall to the Chik-fil-a. If we go 11-1, it seems like Bama and Florida in BCS bowls, and then an 11-1 MSU versus a 10-2 USCe or UGA. This is assuming the capital one didn't screw MSU over to take a 10-2 USCe or UGA. UGA would clearly be the weakest of the three teams but would have the biggest draw. USCe would have a resume that is close except for a glaring loss to LSU when State presumably would have beat LSU to get to 11-1. USCe isn't exactly a huge TV market, but they do have better national exposure because of Spurrier and their recent success. The only reason I think State wouldn't get passed over is that once the Capital one passed State by, there wouldn't be anything to stop State from falling all the way down to the Chik-fil-a. I'd think the SEC and its bowls would be a little embarassed for a team to fall that far below their slot, which I assume is what saved us from missing the Gator two years ago.
