Best of luck. It's hard to blame him too much for his struggles on the field in his limited opportunities the last couple years, but struggle he did. Hopefully he can get coached up and fulfill some of that potential.

Always wanted to see how things would have turned out with Parson's recrootin class if any of the following had happened:

- Leach had lived, obviously;
- Arnett had not gotten sideways with all Leach's guys and kept the staff;
- Arnett had went and got an Air Raid guy like Kevin Sumlin or Phil Longo for OC.

Anyone else notice that Bryce Pollack went out to Texas Tech with Darcel McBath? It just kills me thinking about what might have been these past two years had Arnett not fallen under the influence of the RuN dA bAwLeRs. Parson was the type of guy who can hold things together.

First thing Lebby did was dismantle every bit of it, because Leach tanked the program ********

It wouldn't have gone much differently. I hate if for him, but he's going to I-AA for a reason. And it's not because Leach died.

Parson wouldn’t have played any meaningful snaps. We would have just finished year 5 of Will Rogers.

I don't buy the line that our talent was horrific, obviously. Talent is talent, yes, but coaching plays a huge part. He was a 4 star with multiple P4 offers for a reason. Yes, Leach was a good coach who got more out of less, but he's not the only person who could have done that. Some decent continuity with our staff from 2022 onward could have been a very good thing. It's obvious that we had a good thing going, and I'm almost certain that MSU is one of the few fanbases who could and would mess that up.

I was mainly talking about 2023 and beyond - basically the life of that recruiting class.

Well defensively it was terrible. We would have been better bc we would have had a better DC. Tillman is the only guy in the front 7 worth mentioning g

I still say we wouldn't have been near as bad without the outflux of talent that happened under Lebby (and might not have all been his fault). And then of course, his replacements were plumb terrible.

I don’t think we lost anyone on defense worth talking about except Nicholson.

Typical MSU, obtain an elite 11 QB winner and never use him.
Mr Elite 11 didn’t show anything that gave 3 coaching staffs reason to use him. He played behind a guy that couldn’t throw it downfield, a guy that couldn’t throw it at all, and a true freshman. Even when he was given opportunities to use his legs he couldn’t do anything. What do you want “typical MSU” to do? You don’t play a guy just because of his crootin starzzz.

Whwre he ended up tells you all you need to know and it has nothing to do with MSU wasting his career.

One thing I have noticed with coaching changes it doesn't matter who the player is if the last coach recruited him the new coach will put his guys ahead period. He should have left last year.

Joe Montana could not have looked good playing for Arnetts coaching staff, which was the worst in college football. parson was not going to play over Lebbys hand picked recruit. We don’t know what he can or can’t do. Playing immediately and cashing in next year in the portal is probably smart.

Ive read too many idiots say Sawyer Robertson was a terrible recruit, lol.

Naww man you can't give anybody time to grow up and develop. We're Mississippi State by God, if you don't start every game as a freshmen you suck and we can get someone better.

2 coaching staffs, genius. He was in the 2023 class, so he never got to play for the coach who recruited him. Then our first of 2 brain trust staffs took over.

There are solidly talented players all over other rosters now that Leach recruited. But funny enough not many of the ones Lebby brought in are worth jack shlt. I'm sure we paid them NIL though because GoTs To KeEp Up

What’s hilarious is watching nfl films do a special on Leach and all of the nfl head coaches that talk about what a genius Leach was and how he changed the game, then we have failed junior high coaches like C34 claiming leach can’t evaluate qb talent. Lmao
