Stick a mike in front of Reigns and he has a difficult time. Not sure if it is the crappy scripts, Vince screaming in an ear piece at him or his personality but he has a hard time. I think if you ask any actor it is much easier to play the bad guy than the knight in shining armor. He might build some acting chops if given the chance to be a bad guy. Just don't make him the nth degree cowardly heel like Rollins. I think Reigns would really suck in that role. He could turn back later. Vince seems to want the new Cena and smarks recognize what is going on. They have spent years yelling Cena sucks.

So what you guys got for surprise returns and debuts for WM?

Cesaro will return after WM, he's not important enough for a WM return.
I'd say that Sting has a say in the UT-Shane match.

I'm just guessing/hoping that there is another surprise return for Mania. I think it's almost a given that Sting is involved in the Shane/Taker match like you said. I actually see that match going to Shane without Taker getting pinned. Thus creating a mess that drags out for a month or so.
Rollins and Orton are the only other two that could return Sunday night, and I'm just not sure where either fits on the card. Having Rollins interfere in the H/Reigns match just seems like a bad move, and unnecessary. To get Reigns over he needs to turn, pure and simple. WWE has so much talent and so little direction right now it's crazy. I used to be a hardcore fan, then a casual fan and now I hardly watch at all.
The writing, story lines, character building has become so terrible. Someone needs to wrestle (pun intended) some of the control away from Vince and HHH. They have ruined Reigns, Wyatt Family, etc...

Thanks. I work for a media company called CraveOnline. It took me six months of bothering WWE's PR team to get an opportunity with them. They gave me my first interview for SummerSlam 2014. Now I'm one of the regulars on their media rotation they do. Very fun.
The ultimate goal is to try and get a job with WWE. I've got credentials for Mania and the events for this week and hope to nerwork and discover the right moment to play my "please, give me a job" card.
Oh, guys, forgot to tell you that I did a fun piece with WWE's portrait artist Rob Schamberger. Check out his work. He did tell me that the plan was for him to design a new robe for Warrior for every appearance, KO ripped up his portrait and he's doing a lot of other fun stuff.
It's free on the Network though. You should get it. Pretty sure Sting is interfering, Rock and Austin will do something as well.
Since I couldn't care any less about Wrestlemania if I tried, I'm going to just give my NXT Takeover Dallas predictions. This is the only show I'm looking forward to this weekend.

I think Joe wins as well and I hope he does. Am I crazy to think Balor Club could debut at Mania in the Taker/Shane match? Or I guess be the first ones that Shane would call up.
If they were to debut at Mania I'd rather see them in the Styles/Y2J match, or the Ladder match.

If Cena show's up in the Shane/Taker match I will probably start having the same feelings as you do about WWE creative.
The more I think about it, I can't see a good spot on Mania for Balor/Bullet club to debut.
I just can't get on the Zayn bandwagon. I want to like the guy but he's just so...generic. haha
He will be the last one standing with Owens, but Owens will retain.
Not saying it will be a great Mania, but there is plenty of intrigue.
Did you know that the Million Dollar Man was Vince's character/wrestler that he created and wanted for himself one day? I read that in the Bret Hart book.
I want KO to retain. That guy is one of the best on the roster in the ring and on the mic. KO with a long IC title run does way more for that belt than someone like Zayn.

That seems like a lot moving parts for a creative team that has trouble with simple 1 on 1 story telling.
Very random but on the Cheap Heat podcas this week David Shoemaker said that "In every previous Texas WrestleMania, HHH has won or retained the title in the Main Event."
I haven't taken the time to see if that is true. No I don't think if it is true means anything because Reigns is winning.
Here goes: "I saw Tojo Yamamoto give Jackie Fargo a potato shot to the jaw back in my childhood. Being the mark I was, I missed Jackie blading Tojo just to get some color in the match. The Mongolian Stomper then did a run into the squared circle and helped Tojo beat Jackie down until he had to get carried out on a stretcher, but Fargo kept kayfabe the whole time."

At this point you simply can't "make" UT or Sting face/heel because it's a bad predetermined plot. If Sting gets involved in any way he is a face. He can come out and help Shane crowd will pop but he can come out and help his buddy UT and the crowd will pop even though technically UT represents Vince/Steph/HHH.
Sting is just tough to inject into an angle and control the story. Now if UT is ok being heel then it's easy, but running a feud that long is tough when neither guy will be there much except for every 3 months. But a best of 3 deal could work I guess if their bodies hold up.

As far as Sting/Taker, there is no need for either to be labeled heel or face. A match between the two sells itself based on it being a dream match for so many for so long. Sting came in as the vigilante and I think that would be the role he would play in the Shane/Taker match. He could make an appearance and not be physical in any way, yet still help Shane and cost Taker. They could build a match for next years WM and neither have to say much. Both are great at non-verbal and non-physical builds to matches.
The Reigns heel turn will start at WM but will be complete on Raw. He turns on someone at Mania (The Rock), but leaves doubt with his intentions.
So that was a clinical great tag team match.
